*How I see myself*
**How my boss sees me**
***How my crews see me***
****How I actually am****
Attended a Blue Angels watch party yesterday. Given our proximity to Miramar our airport was closed for the show. After it opened back up, we were treated to a demonstration by a nationally ranked STOL pilot – at San Diego, CA
There is painfully little wisdom to be found in the comments section of air crash analysis videos 🤦🏼♂️🤦🏼♂️🤦🏼♂️
This happened to us yesterday over VNY. Intermittent, and only lasted a couple minutes. But it occurred at in intersection, turning to a new airway. Gave me an opportunity to show my student VOR nav (using Yoda voice) “here’s how we used to do this young Padawan”
Americans jamming Americans. One day there will be a crash and souls will be lost. I don’t know why we do this to each other.

**Truth** Maybe it’s only perception. And I can’t provide any stats to support it. But “Clutch Hitting” is a thing. There’s some guys, batting average be damned, that seem to punch above their weight when the game is on the line
“If I win the lottery, I won’t tell anyone, but there will be signs”

Say what you will about the Cirrus. Love ‘em or hate ‘em. They scoot right along. And, they’re a very stable instrument platform
She was the best. Always enjoyed her calling pursuits. Her familiarity with the SoCal landscape made for great coverage. And, correctly pronounced all the community and street names. Then she’d jump over to the Telemundo feed and do it all in Spanish. A real Pro
It’s Restaurant Week in San Diego. Pay no attention to the sour puss, dishing up the Arancini required all my concentration. The artichoke 1st course was ineffably sublime. Short rib & risotto and Ravioli for the mains. Cannoli and tiramisu to finish it off…10/10 – at La Mesa, CA
Oh crap. You can hear the aircraft making all sorts of unhappy sounds
Went to a flying club happy hour last night😕Ya know. There’s some real egomaniacs in General Aviation. And yet you hardly ever see these guys on the field, actually flying🤷♂️ OTOH the guys on the field, day in day out. Are all good dudes. Humble, professional. Fly frequently
I’ve always had a ton of respect for Bret Weinstein intellectually. Some of his Covid takes were a bit🤨🤨but hey, I’m open to contrarian POV🤷♂️ Still listen to his podcast occasionally. Fear he may have lost the plot on this one though 😐😐
Well, the “9/11 truthers” were out in force yesterday….so, let me see if I’ve got this straight🤔🤔 “Secret gov’t stuff in WTC7 exists. Crash planes into WTC 1&2 (or fake it). Explosives/Thermite. Collapse. Then, and only then, set off demo charges in WTC7”🤨🤨🤨
Right about now, 25 years ago. I was awakened from my slumber in the bunk room of old Station 5 by an all call page from Fire Comm Center advising that two aircraft had crashed into the World Trade Center in NYC
