This was a despicable and gruesome murder. To callously murder the woman who gave birth to you & then dismember & hide her in a closet is heinous. There is no place in society for this kind of person, & I hope today’s sentence brings a measure of justice for the victim’s family.
Leona Guevara’s daughters shared emotional victim impact statements at their brother's sentencing hearing today for the murder of their mother. Jacob P. Guevara was sentenced today to 25 years to life in prison for first-degree murder.

Michael D. Graham was sentenced to 60-years-to-life for the 1996 sexual assault of a 6-year-old girl in University City.
A CODIS DNA match helped investigators identify him and bring him to justice.
