"Gender identity & mental health inequalities 2001–2022: population" (Published on March 5, 2025): Examines the mental health disparities experienced by transgender, non-binary, & gender-diverse individuals compared to cisgender populations, highlighting the need for inclusive mental health support. doi: 10.1136/bmjment-2024-301277.

We are delighted that @NICEComms has today approved a groundbreaking gene therapy, Exa-cel, for use in the NHS with people living with sickle cell disorder.
We must now work to make this therapy widely accessible.

When discussing health inequalities, please use terms such as “under-represented” or “under-served” rather than “hard to reach” when referring to communities most at risk of poor health outcomes. These groups do want to be reached and access good quality NHS care easily.
Great to see our fantastic researchers @Lemmy20Lorraine & @eleanorachis at @SadaccaLimited - a community organisation in Sheffield. They talked with African & Caribbean elders about COPD, Pulmonary Rehabilitation, and the @UPTURN_COPD study. Thanks so much Sylvie @SadaccaLimited
