Interactive session at Institute of Asian and European Studies, National Academy of Sciences, Tajikistan. The discussion encompassed various topics, including the historical and cultural connections between South Asia and Central Asia; Current situation in Afghanistan; Islamophobia & Muslim minorities around the globe; the potential for economic collaboration between Pakistan and Central Asia, with a particular focus on Tajikistan. We also delved into the national heroes and poets shared by both countries, such as Allama Iqbal, Amir Khusrow, H Sultan Bahoo, Mirza Bedil, and Zeb-un-Nisa. The session included active participation from Director of the Institute Mr. Yor Muhammad Niozi, department heads, and senior researchers, culminating in a productive question and answer exchange.

قیامِ پاکستان کے بعد عید میلادالنبی(ﷺ) کی تقریبات میں بانی ریاست مدینہ ثانی اور افواجِ پاکستان کے دستوں نے شرکت کی تھی اور آقائے دو جہاں کی آمد کی خوشیاں منانا ریاستی پالیسی تھی۔ میلادِ مصطفےٰ (ﷺ) منانے کا عملی تقاضا ہے کہ اسلام کے اصولوں کے مطابق ریاست خداداد پاکستان میں جدید اسلامی فلاحی نظام رائج ہو۔ اور یہ ریاستی اداروں کی کاوش کے ساتھ ساتھ افراد کی انفرادی کاوشوں اور نوجوانوں کی اخلاقی و روحانی تربیت کے بغیر ممکن نہیں۔

Chicago: At The East-West University Chicago, Discussion was based on life, teachings and legacy of Sultan Al-Arifeen Sultan Bahoo. Consul General of Pakistan Tariq Karim and Rector of University Dr. Wasiullah Khan also participated and shared his views in the discussion. Renowned scholar on Sufism Dr. Marcia Hermansen and Professor Zafar Malik also shared their remarks. The literary and research works on Sultan Al-Arifeen Sultan Bahoo were discussed, that have been carried out in different universities of the world. In addition, following points were discussed, • On the life and personality of Sultan Bahoo, there was a leading impact of his mother (Honoruable Bibi Rasti). Contemporary mothers can learn from the experiences of Sultan Bahoo’s mother in order to train their children to become leading figures. • Punjabi Abyat of Sultan Bahoo are unique as there are some very distinctive phrases which have become part of daily use in South Asian folk culture e.g., دل دریا سمندروں ڈونگھے “Heart is deeper than rivers and oceans” کوڑے کھوہ ناں مٹھے ہوندے “Sour water-wells are never sweetened” کانْواں دے بچے ہنس ناں تھیندے “Crows never become swans” And many such phrases of Sultan Bahoo are now part and parcel of South Asian culture. • The imagery used in small sentences of Abyat depicts very deep and vast concepts with naturalness. For example on one place he says, تن من میرا پرزے پرزے جیوں درزی دیاں لیراں ھُو اینہاں لیراں دی گل کفنی پا کے رلساں سنگ فقیراں ھُو “My body-soul are torn into pieces like tailor’s tatters - Hoo, I will wrap a shroud of these rags and associate with mystic – Hoo.” تاڑی مار اڈاؤ ناں باھُوؒ اساں آپے اُڈن ہارے ھُو “Do not clap hands to make us fly away Bahoo, we are already about to fly across - Hoo.” • One of the important aspects of the teachings of Sultan Bahoo is that he invites people towards the actual purpose of life. He connects the purpose and destination with ‘Youm Alast’ (Qur’an, 7:172) from where human journey starts. • The concept of “Hoo” is very distinct in the teachings and poetry of Sultan Bahoo. No one earlier used such rhyme in such a beautiful manner.

Chinese proposal to build USD 57.7 billion 3000 km railway line in Pakistan is an important project. It would connect Western China to #ArabianSea through #Gwadarport & create mutual interdependency b/w both states. The project has potential to provide #China best route for fast trade & will act as a catalyst for Pakistan's infrastructure & economic development.
