It's challenging to cover major issues of #oralhealth from a #publichealth perspective in 15 minutes... so here's some more food for thought....
There’s more to oral health beyond cleanings and the “drill and fill”.
Dentists Leah Leinbach and Sujay Mehta talk about why good oral health is necessary for a person's overall health and the importance of including dental care as part of health care.

New Perspective in @FrontOralHealth: Special Care Dentistry has been defined by who it serves, not by how care is structured. We argue that's a patient safety gap, and hospital dentistry already has the framework to close it.

We’re expanding the Canadian Dental Care Plan. Starting today, Canadians aged 55-64 can apply. In the coming weeks, applications will open to Canadians aged 18-54.
Because of this plan, millions of people can now afford to see a dentist — some for the first time in decades. Soon, millions more will get that same care.

The fact that US-owned National Post has given an enormous amount of print space to a cultural heavy hitter (Jordan Peterson) to attack Mark Carney suggests to me that the Right really is afraid of Carney becoming leader.

In 1890, the Tariff Act came into place in the United States. It placed tariffs on imports of up to 50%.
While touted as a way to build American industry, there was also the hope it would force an annexation of Canada. It backfired.
Let's learn more.

ALT The image is a black-and-white political cartoon depicting a man in a suit standing behind a counter labeled "Republican Platform." He is holding a bottle labeled "Untaxed Whiskey, 20¢ Gal." in one hand and a piece of cloth labeled "War-Taxed Common Cloth, Tariff 84%" in the other. Above the counter, a sign reads, "If you don’t see what you want, ask for it." The cartoon, signed by W.A. Rogers, appears to satirize the Republican Party's economic policies, highlighting the disparity in taxation between luxury items like whiskey and essential goods like cloth.

PEPFAR is one of the most successful global health programs ever.
It provides HIV treatment for over 20 million people.
And now it faces a funding delay of up to 6 months.
Without access to treatment, HIV can rebound in less than a month.
This is self-defeating stupidity.
