I fell victim of a coordinated attack through My Gmail and my Apple ID yesterday. Obviously, I’d been using ZK-Login without 2FA for my Sui wallet for years now and I’ve never had any issue. But recently, I’ve been getting too many reminders from Google about my compromised passwords. Also, I’ve been getting more Apple ID sign in alerts lately but I didn’t do nothing. Just yesterday, a double access was gotten to my Sui Wallet and my Binance account where I had a lost phone as one of my verification devices and I feel like the attacker must have exploited that alongside my compromised passwords on the internet. Definitely I’m sure it was coordinated because of the circumstances around this. Tbvh, It’s been a dark 24 hours for me because I lost about $5k 💔. I was able to reach-out to few my friends where we tried troubleshooting the attack and saw multiple loopholes which I take full responsibility for. I also reported the issue but it was too late as the attacker moved everything to a multichain wallet on the Polygon network. Yes I was careless and it costed me a lot at this crucial moment of my life. Decided not to be quiet about this so everyone can revisit their wallet security and learn from this.
