Of the 33 million people people displaced due to the floods in Pakistan, many are living In shanty towns, their only belongings; sacks of clothes. They are being forced to survive on 2-3 cups of tea a day. It's so painful to know that it hasn't even been a week & the world forgot
This summer I got to read two exceptional novels that explore the interpretations of home and the sense of belonging, even though strikingly different in style. @devislaskar's The Atlas of Reds and Blues blew me away with its lyrical yet searing prose. #WritingCommmunity #sfwc
In @LysleyTenorio 's “The Son of Good Fortune” good fortune eludes the teenaged protagonist living a non-descript American life in the prison of his undocumented status. #immigrants
