Find a ritual. One that works for you.
For me it’s become a rock tumbler. Every week I have something to look forward to. A change that brings joy instead of fear. When I’m struggling I go sit in front of it and imagine I’m a rock inside the tumbler. The vibration and constant movement helps grounds me and reassess my thoughts.
Like the rocks, I’m constantly being polished by the unending motion and change. I’m always moving forwards to something new and different. I cannot ever be stuck in this moment because I’m part of the world. I’m being shaped by my new experiences everyday into something beautiful. Even if I have cracks between each stage in my life, I can always try again. I can always become something different.
My coworker just described me as well mannered in the group chat and I looked over and I have a jar of my own pee on my desk.
