California’s housing crisis is colliding with a new fight over vehicle miles traveled fees. A provision in the state’s budget created a statewide Vehicle Miles Traveled (VMT) mitigation bank, giving qualifying development projects an option to pay into a fund to address transportation impacts under California’s environmental rules.
Critics argue that even when these costs are imposed on development rather than directly on individual drivers, they can still become part of the overall cost of building housing. That raises a bigger question for California families already dealing with expensive homes and rents: how much additional cost can the housing market absorb before those expenses reach buyers and renters?
California officials describe the program differently, saying the money is intended to support location-efficient affordable housing and infrastructure while reducing vehicle miles traveled.
The debate now goes beyond one fee. It’s about whether policies designed to reduce driving and meet environmental goals are helping California build more affordable housing—or adding another layer of cost to an already expensive market. With housing affordability remaining a major issue, taxpayers and voters will continue watching how these policies affect developers, renters, homeowners, and the broader cost of living.

European Parliament Member Kris Van Dijck delivered a blistering rebuke on the floor after UN Watch exposed a unbelievable institutional decision. The United Nations Economic and Social Council officially appointed the Islamic Republic of Iran to shape international policy on women rights and human rights. Van Dijck took the microphone to directly challenge the moral authority of globalist institutions that enable authoritarian regimes. His explosive opening remarks immediately captivated the entire chamber as he demanded answers regarding how such an appointment could ever take place

Joe Rogan revisits one of the most repeated political quotes from the Trump era: the 2017 Charlottesville “very fine people” controversy. In the clip, Barack Obama is shown quoting Trump as saying there were “very fine people on both sides” of a white supremacist rally. Rogan then plays Trump’s longer response, which includes an important qualification that is often left out when the shorter quote is circulated online.
In the full exchange, Trump said there were “very fine people” on both sides, but then specifically stated that he was not talking about neo-Nazis or white nationalists, saying they should be condemned totally. He argued that there were also people in the broader group who were protesting the removal of a Robert E. Lee statue. That wording is part of the original August 2017 press conference transcript.
The controversy has continued for years because the same remarks have been presented in sharply different ways. Critics have focused on Trump’s “very fine people” and “both sides” language, while Trump and his defenders have emphasized the later clarification excluding neo-Nazis and white nationalists. Contemporary fact-checking and reporting have documented both parts of the exchange, making the full context important when evaluating what was actually said.
That is what makes this clip worth watching in full rather than relying on a few seconds circulating online. One sentence can create a very different impression when the surrounding exchange is removed. The Charlottesville debate remains one of the most discussed moments of Trump’s first presidency, and this video puts the competing versions of the quote side by side. What do you think after hearing the full exchange?

In Washington, D.C., during a House Rules Committee hearing on funding for Immigration and Customs Enforcement and Customs and Border Protection, Rep. Jim Jordan discussed the role of federal immigration enforcement and the debate over funding ICE. Jordan argued that immigration enforcement requires adequately funded federal agencies and criticized sanctuary jurisdictions that limit cooperation between local law enforcement and federal authorities. He framed the issue as part of a broader debate over how the government should enforce existing immigration law.

Joe Biden’s withdrawal from Afganistán was just the first step. Now we have 250k-500k Afgani “refugees” with high unemployment and subsidy use.
At the same time Joe Biden allowed the Ukraine war to start and spent Billions of tax payers money to support it, ALL while we were still recovering from COVID. The Biden administration printed nearly
$2 Trillion and inflation skyrocketed.
This is at the root of the affordability problem we face today

Natural mRNA Breaks Down in Hours. The Vaccine Version Was Engineered Not To.
Modified nucleosides — the discovery that won Karikó and Weissman the Nobel Prize — let synthetic mRNA evade the body's normal degradation machinery and stay intact long enough to produce protein. That's the innovation that made the platform work at all. It's also the property that raises the question nobody has fully answered: how long does production continue, at what quantity, and does it vary from person to person? The engineering is remarkable. The follow-up studies to characterize what it does over time were never run at scale.

BOMBSHELL: Mystery Handler’s Phone Pinged Between Crooks’ House and an FBI Building — Trump’s Would-Be Assassin Did NOT Act Alone
By Jonathan Gregory
Washington, D.C. - September 28, 2026
In a drop that the political class immediately tried to bury, the Heritage Foundation’s Oversight Project mapped commercially available cell.phone advertising data and identified nine devices that repeatedly showed up at both Thomas Matthew Crooks’ Bethel Park home and the nursing home where he worked. One of those devices did not stay in Pennsylvania. It made a conspicuous trip to Gallery Place in Washington, D.C., a complex sitting in the same tight downtown cluster as an FBI facility, on June 26, 2023, months before Crooks climbed a roof in Butler and nearly took Donald Trump’s life. Patriots who have watched the Bureau botch, delay, and stonewall every politically inconvenient investigation say the pattern is no coincidence: a 20-year-old loner does not generate a small fleet of linked devices and a D.C. ghost unless someone else was in the picture.

Pramila Jayapal is running seminars on how to get in ICE’s way and calling it civic education. Thirty thousand names on a list is not a book club. It is a member of Congress training people to obstruct the agency that removes illegal offenders. Tom Homan does not need a decoder ring. The product is delay, doxxing of operations, and a permission structure for the next street circus.
Lawful protest is one thing. A curriculum built to jam arrests, scare employers, and treat federal officers as the invaders is another. Cities that already burned cars for the cameras should not get a how-to from the House. Jayapal’s district can applaud. The rest of the country lives with the people ICE was about to pick up.
America First is the opposite syllabus. Fund the officers. Prosecute the ones who block a van. End the fantasy that “resistance” is a hobby when the target is the statute. If she wants a fight, she can have it on the floor with a recorded vote. What she should not have is a farm team taught to treat deportation as a crime. The law is not the insurrection. Blocking it is.
