50 T20Is of Nepal for me, and lucky enough to mark it at the World Cup !
From heartbreaks in Singapore and Oman to triumphant Qualifiers in Mulpani. and then these two crazy World Cup games vs South Africa and Bangladesh in St Vincent. Following Nepal has been a job that drains you mentally more than physically.
Hopefully we’ll have much more of the celebrations rather than despairs in coming days. For whatever the future holds, its been a pleasure so far.
D'Arcy Short takes no time and hits FIRST SIX of the match, in the first ball of second innings.
Chasing 88 FYI

When asked if there was any 'issues' with PCB regarding NOCs to players contratced for NPL, CAN Secretary Paras Khadka said they are 'working closely' to resolve the situation.

NPL is officially part of world cricket now. Just need franchises to open wallets ya’ll 😜
Festive season for real!
The Festival of Himalayas starts with a good news!
All matches of NPL Season 3 have been classified as List A T20s by ICC, a landmark in the journey of #SBLNPL
#HamroShaan #Season3 #NepalCricket
DRS being introduced into the NPL is a huge step for blooming league like ours. While this will elevate broadcast and add a sense of relief to the teams, the financial burden that comes along is quite significant.
Personally, I think we were still few seasons away for this. and with ICC sanctioning (albeit not full), the teams are in line to invest huge amount into team building but with same resources they had. DRS is going to be only a small chunk of it anyways.
I hope our Criconomy is ready to hold what we have been adding. I’d happily take what we have at the moment for a few more years just to make sure we make this sustainable.
One thing is for sure, this festival of cricket is going to be Bigger than we expected 🥳
WIN to end the pain.
14 wins and 20 losses just doesn't add up.
This shows a lot has to be done in domestic circuit (NOT NPL).
Hopefully we will have time to rethink about this. For now, lets hope ICC stays with their Top 6 ODI retention.
and now that we are 'celebrating' this win. at the same time, lets not forget Women's Cricket. They are still waiting for PM Cup, our premier domestic competition :))
Subash Tamang is playing on the DP World Tour, the first Nepali to do so. But this is as much Tashi Ghale's success as it is his. And NO, I am not exaggerating one bit.
I took this picture last week, right after Subash returned from the final day of the 2026 Asian Games. Tashi dai began inspecting Subash's clubs as soon as we reached the car park, and they were visibly damaged. He didn't think twice before asking the driver to drop us off at the station and take the clubs to the hotel and then on to a golf shop. He bought Subash two new clubs later that day.
All of this because he was not happy with how the Asian Games had ended for Subash.
On the final day, Subash was three under par after the 16th hole, with a top 10 finish on the horizon. But he dropped a shot with a bogey on the 17th, then wasted two chip shots on the final hole to finish with a double bogey. His card read even par and he ended up 23rd, but he had already made history as the first Nepali to play all four rounds at the Asian Games.
Yet Tashi dai looked more dejected than Subash did at the end. That is why he inspected the clubs as soon as they met and replaced them straight away. This is not the first time he has done this; in fact, he has done it every time.
From spotting Subash as a ball boy at Royal Nepal Golf Club nine years ago to facilitating his entire journey, Tashi dai has left no stone unturned. He has provided Subash with everything from basic needs to golfing gear, and everything in between. Subash, for his part, kept working hard and achieving one milestone after another.
Subash was not the first player Tashi dai invested his time and money in, but he became the one whose success bore fruit. Along the way, Deepak Acharya, NGA, NPGA, Dhan Bahadur Thapa, Deepak Magar, Army Golf, Gokarna and RNGC all played their part. Tarun Sardesai and his team helped turn our local talent into a world class professional, and the story is only getting bigger.
All of this happened because one crazy man who invested in sport had a dream: to see a talent build something big for himself. Now he is finally seeing that dream come true. When Subash steps up to tee off in Delhi tomorrow, he will not be standing alone. Tashi dai will be right there with him.
When talent meets opportunity, dreams come true. This time, the dream belonged to the man who made sure the opportunities came along.
That's why this is Tashi dai's success as much as Subash's. And Subash is just one success story; those who didn't make it this far will live their dreams through him.

While we should feel happy that people like @binodsum are getting recognised abroad, it is a BIG BIG LOSS for Nepali Cricket. Not only his local knowledge, but also his relationships with fellow international member associations will be missed.
We won’t miss his ICC Level 3 Master Educator capabilities at all, despite that being one of the rarest assets in the cricketing world. Know why? Because we didn’t use them. We failed to put his expertise in place.
We lost a generational coach when he changed his role from coach to cricket manager. And after years of service in that role, we are losing him as an expert.
He is heading to Malaysia, of all places. A country that sits just behind us and holds great potential to challenge or even overtake us with the talent they have. And with Binod dai as Arsenal, they have someone who knows the way to get there. For us, that is knowledge nobody else has apart from one of our own.
Hopefully this will serve as a lesson for Nepali Cricket and the board overall that growth should be distributed equally on all sides and not just to a handful of players. The coaches, the admins, the staff, the groundsmen and everyone around should be appreciated and given opportunities to grow.
As a player
As a captain
As a coach
As an administrator
Rarely is there an individual so synonymous with Nepali Cricket. Mulpani Office will find it hard to get a person who was as committed as you, and a person who loves cricket so much.
It was a pleasure to have shared a matchup and some fond memories there just a few months ago.
It will not be easy to see you donning foreign colours and sitting at the opposite end.
Nepal continue their unbeaten run against Afghanistan in T20s.
Nepal are also unbeaten against Japan, Sri Lanka and Pakistan.
