Lagos is flooding again. We have UNILAG, LASU, Pan-Atlantic University, thousands of engineering students, and hundreds of PhDs. Where are the practical engineering solutions? What exactly is the purpose of an engineering degree if our biggest engineering problems remain unsolved? Are our universities producing problem-solvers or just issuing certificates?

MKO ran for president in 1993. He won fair and square, but he was denied. He got locked up, accused of treason and died (?murdered) in jail. Today 32years after his death, The criminal traitorous military monster that annulled the 1993 elections, denied over 100million Nigerians their rightful leader, unleashed security forces killing over 100nigerians in the protests, an animal who should be languishing in jail if Nigeria was a sane country, he is today launching a worthless book and is being hailed as a “hero” and an “inspiration”. How a despicable treasonous traitor who truncated a democracy and deprived a duly elected leader of his rightful office, is now rebranded as a some kind of a hero by the political establishment today tells you everything you need to know about this geographical skit called Nigeria. A country with leaders that have zero honour, zero virtue, and zero values. What a shame. What a disgrace.

You people should stop dragging Obama. Just like Slave trade our people are the ones who were willing tools. Blaming everyone else other than yourself for your misfortune shows how small we tas a people think.
His parochial view of power is steeped in: Race. Civil Rights. LGBT+ Rights & Gender Equality. These were all in his desire to be in the White House via proxy. A snake in green grass. His public facade & spectacle don’t fool me. He replaced a PhD holder with a complete dunce. And 10 years on, my native Nigeria is yet to recover. There is no excuse for that!

Jesus came to save sinners not for those who are saved already.

Donald Trump made executive orders that restores Christian values such as male and female genders only, and is never ashamed to proclaim the existence and superiority of God and His Son Jesus Christ. If this does not make him a represent Christians. I don't know what will make him represent us. You are the one definitely crying ever since your party failed to jail him because you knew he will win.

What a sound message for world leaders all over the world.
Extreme wealth threatens our democracy, our planet, and our society as we know it. Over 370 millionaires and billionaires have a message for the world leaders at Davos: draw the line and tax us, the super rich, to save the world. wemustdrawtheline.org

And many parent still use fear as a tool for discipline There are loosing their children’s trust so fast.
I discussed this with my husband a few days ago when we were watching the funeral of a 12 year old girl who took her life. She confided in a girl she had met online but not with her parents what she was going through. I told my husband it’s because parents are judgmental. As a parent, allow your children to be able to confide in you whatever it is. Sometimes you will be screaming inside but you must keep a poker face and hear everything. Much later when they would have forgotten about the conversation you can then talk about such and the repercussions associated with it. They will sometimes even be the ones telling you the solutions

I saw a tweet about some kids taking their own lives because they were so scared of their parents finding out about something, and I could relate deeply. In 2009, I was in 100L and after my first semester, I found out I was owing CU school fees. I say 'found out' because we had paid everything in instalment at the beginning of the semester, but due to an error on my part, one of the transactions didn’t go through, and I didn’t realize it at the time. I believe it was around 100k naira as my total fees were 405k. This wasn’t easy for my parents to pay. Back then, when you deposited your fees at the bank, they’d generate an E-tranzact PIN to pay your fees online. If you lost the PIN, it was almost as bad as losing the money you paid to the bank. I wasn’t great at keeping documents, so I had thrown away the paper the PIN was printed on. When I got home for the holiday, the scared 15-year old me couldn’t bring myself to tell my dad because I was so scared. The shouting that would follow would make you wish you were dead. I wasn’t afraid of my mom, but I knew she’d tell him if I told her. I searched the house hoping to find the PIN but had no luck. I kept telling myself that the only solution was to die. Looking back now, I can’t believe I considered ending my life over 100k. Fear and depression had me in a chokehold. That fateful day, I went out to buy what I planned to use. On my way to the pharmacy, a random person smiled and asked how I was doing. That simple act made me reconsider my decision. When people tell me I smile a lot, I just think back because it literally saved my life. I still didn’t tell my parents, but something pushed me to call the bank. They told me there was a way to regenerate the PIN if I brought in certain documents. The issue was eventually resolved without any hassle. Now that I have a child, I can’t imagine raising him in fear. Fear can lead to so many bad decisions, especially for kids who don’t know better. Please, break the cycle.

Our problem isn't those that voted Tinubu. Their numbers weren't as good as those that voted Peter Obi. When we keep emphasising them it seems they are many. Nigerians voted Peter Obi. We won that election. We should focus on the institutions that perverted the will of D people
