Base Batches 003 Spotlight 🟦 Just like my Base App Spotlight series, I’m launching a new one. @base selected the top 12 teams out of 1,100+ applicants for Cohort 003. These builders are focused on AI agents, private DeFi, payments, credit, prediction markets, and more — all on Base. They have 7 weeks of building + mentorship, ending with Demo Day in San Francisco. How I’ll structure each spotlight: - Simple breakdown of what they’re building - Key tech or idea (e.g. zkTLS, x402 micropayments, AI agents) - Why it could matter for everyday onchain users (or the ecosystem) - Speculative thoughts on user experience once it ships — because most haven’t launched yet No hype. Just facts + honest speculation. NFA. DYOR. Starting tomorrow with the first team. Full list + more 👇1/4 #Base #BaseBatches

Base Weekly Recap: June 23–29, 2026 What a week on @base. Beryl hit mainnet, desktop launched, agents got way more powerful, and billions flowed onchain. It wasn’t all smooth as there were two block production outages on June 25 and 26. The team quickly patched the root cause, confirmed everything stayed safe, and released a full post-mortem. They still shipped hard. Here’s the recap👇 1. Base Beryl Upgrade @base rolled out Beryl to mainnet on June 25. The upgrade adds the new B20 native token standard, faster single-proof withdrawals, and Reth V2 for roughly 50% less node disk usage plus higher throughput. The two short block production outages on June 25 and 26 stemmed from the same bug in the block builder logic. The team identified it quickly, fixed the root cause, kept all funds safe, and shared the full post-mortem with OP chains. Solid transparency and quick recovery. 2. Base dropped raw numbers that most people will scroll right past but the real story lives inside the data. Over 15 million agentic x402 transactions. This is not some forecast. It is onchain proof that autonomous agents are already out there discovering services, paying in USDC, and operating without constant human oversight. I spent time tracing the entire timeline from the quiet early tests through the infrastructure build up to the sharp June breakout. Here is the full breakdown behind the curve 👇🧵1/7

6/7 And it is not just the volume that is spiking. Unique buyers and sellers both exploding, especially in June. Distinct services and wallets growing fast. This shows a real two sided market forming. Agents are buying services and also offering them. The agentic economy is actually showing up.

7/7 This chart is not about lines going up. It is the birth certificate of the agentic economy on @base. AI agents that earn, spend, trade, lend, and build their own little value loops 24/7. @base is not chasing trends. They are laying down the actual rails: cheap, fast, stablecoin-native, agent-first from the jump. The story is still in its early chapters. What part of this future gets you most excited? Or worried? @jessepollak and @brian_armstrong are building something special on Base, and the future is looking extremely bright.

Base just dropped the hammer last week and earlier today they reposted @beefyfinance summer incentives on @PancakeSwap pools. I saw it, jumped in, and broke it down so you don’t have to. Here’s the real breakdown every @base maxi needs right now 👇 What is Beefy Finance? @beefyfinance is straightforward easy-mode yield farming. You deposit your @PancakeSwap LP tokens into their vaults, and Beefy automatically harvests rewards, swaps them, and reinvests everything nonstop so your bag keeps compounding while you sleep. No manual claiming, no stress. Just go to @beefyfinance, connect your wallet, pick a vault like SOL-cbBTC, and let it cook. Dead simple even for beginners. How does it affect Base? It pulls real cross-chain liquidity onto @base and keeps it active. More SOL and cbBTC flowing through @PancakeSwap means tighter spreads, higher trading volume, and constant on-chain action that makes the chain stickier for traders and apps. That builds deeper DeFi and real usage. Pros and Cons/Risks? Pros: Set-and-forget compounding for better yields, super easy DeFi entry, and fast liquidity growth on @base Cons/Risks: Smart contract risk (audited but never zero), impermanent loss on volatile pairs, incentives don’t last forever, and crypto can dump. DYOR, start small, and only risk what you can lose. How can we benefit? Better liquidity means tighter spreads and smoother trading for everyone. Regular users stack real passive yield. Builders get more efficient capital and activity. Overall, it advances the tokenized assets and payments vision, bringing more users and growth that lifts the entire @base ecosystem. My take? This is @base doing what it does best: turning incentives into sticky liquidity and real momentum. No hype, just actual flywheel motion happening live. In down markets this is exactly how you stay active and keep earning while others sit on the sidelines. @base is not playing around in 2026. If you’re building or stacking here, this is your edge. Time to get in, compound, and ride the wave 🏄‍♂️ NFA. DYOR always.

Base Weekly Recap: June 16 - 22, 2026 It was a massive week on @base. The vision is coming together fast. Here’s my weekly recap👇 1. Base Beryl Upgrade @base deployed Beryl to Sepolia testnet (mainnet June 25). Major upgrade bringing three core improvements: the new B20 native token standard, reduced single-proof withdrawal delays, and Reth V2 for ~50% less node disk usage plus higher throughput. Faster, more capital efficient, and built for scaled issuance. 2. B20 Token Standard Headline feature of Beryl. Native Rust precompiles for tokens mean faster and cheaper execution with built-in compliance. Two modes: flexible Asset tokens and fixed 6-decimal stables. Fully ERC-20 compatible and seamless for wallets and exchanges. Positions @base as the settlement layer for programmable global assets. 3. Base Privacy Enterprise-grade private transactions are now live. Financial institutions can trade, pay, and settle with confidentiality on public crypto rails while maintaining auditability and compliance. 4. Coinbase Announcement @brian_armstrong dropped a huge System Update: • Tokenized stocks + pre-IPO perps, stock/crypto options, and perpetual equity indices coming to Base. • @baseapp heading to desktop + multi-chain support. • Base MCP for secure AI agent actions. • AI Advisor tool + full-stack payments infrastructure. 5. Base Beryl Upgrade is now on testnet and here is the real impact👇 @base shipped their second upgrade of the year yesterday. Beryl is now live on Sepolia and mainnet is scheduled for June 25. You probably saw my earlier post on B20 so I won’t go too deep on that again. Instead let me break down all three changes and why they actually matter for people using the chain. B20 Native Token Standard:
This is the headline we already covered yesterday. It’s a native token logic built straight into the protocol for better speed, lower costs, and built-in compliance tools. Faster Withdrawals:
The second change cuts the single-proof withdrawal delay from 7 days down to 5 days. The fast 1-day dual-proof option stays exactly the same. This is more important than it looks. Liquidity providers and anyone moving bigger amounts can get their ETH or assets back quicker. That speeds up capital recycling, tightens spreads, and improves overall liquidity without touching security thanks to the multiproof setup from Azul. Reth V2 Upgrade:
Under the hood this is big for the long term. Nodes now use up to 50% less disk space and handle transactions more efficiently. As @base keeps growing this keeps the network cheaper to run, easier to operate nodes on, and better positioned for higher activity without fees getting crazy. Why This Matters?
These aren’t flashy hype features. They’re practical fixes that remove real friction. Better issuance tools for serious projects, faster money movement, and a chain that can scale cleanly as real capital flows in. @base is moving quick now just four weeks from Azul to Beryl. It shows they’ve got their upgrade rhythm down and they’re focused on building infrastructure that real capital actually needs. If you caught my B20 post this is the full picture. Testnet is open for you to play with and mainnet lands in a few days. What stands out to you most here? NFA. DYOR. Always.

If you missed my post on the B20 token standard 👇
B20 on Base: Quick breakdown after Jesse dropped it @jessepollak mentioned B20 during the Beryl update talk and it caught my eye. So I went through the docs myself. No fluff, just what it actually is and why it matters. Here’s the real deal👇 What is B20? B20 is Base’s own native token standard. Think ERC-20 but baked straight into the chain using fast Rust precompiles instead of regular contracts. It comes with built-in compliance tools like policies for transfers, freeze/seize, roles, memos, and supply caps. Two types: Asset (flexible decimals, rebases, batch features for RWAs) and Stablecoin (fixed 6 decimals with currency code). The Beryl upgrade rolls this out with faster settlements, lower fees, and turns @base into a proper home for real programmable finance. How does this affect Base? It makes issuing stablecoins, RWAs, and any on-chain asset way smoother and cheaper. Issuers get compliance without messy extra contracts, while everything stays fully composable. This is straight-up infrastructure for 24/7 global finance and fits perfectly into Base’s 2026 vision as the go-to settlement layer. How will it affect us? Strengths: faster/cheaper tokens, easier inflows from big issuers, solid tooling. Weaknesses: new standard so adoption takes time, some built-in compliance means more centralization for issuers. Opportunities: bigger TVL, real activity spikes. Risks: regs could shift or migration might drag. Overall looks net positive if they keep shipping. Can we benefit from this? 100%. The whole ecosystem gets better stablecoin flows, new RWA apps, more volume and liquidity. Builders and users on @base win first with tokens that actually work for real-world use while staying fast and open. My take? B20 feels like smart, practical execution because it fixes real pain points for issuers without killing the open vibe. @base is stacking real wins here. The momentum is building and it’s not slowing down. You ready for what’s next? NFA. DYOR. Always.

Yesterday @coinbase dropped their latest System Update and basically said: we’re becoming the Everything Exchange. One single place for crypto, stocks, options, AI tools, payments, and traditional finance. A lot was announced yesterday, but what exactly are they and how do we benefit? No fluff today. I’m breaking down the major parts in simple terms so anyone can understand what happened and why it matters, especially if you’re watching @base NFA. DYOR. Let’s dive in. 🧵👇1/6

5/6 Other Key Announcements: Other big highlights include a much more accessible USDC-backed Coinbase One Card, crypto-backed mortgages, borrowing against your staked assets, unified global liquidity, easier portfolio transfers, a new developer platform, full-stack payments, and private transactions for enterprises. All these upgrades are designed to make everyday finance faster, cheaper, and more connected across borders while cutting out the usual friction for both regular users and builders.

6/6 How does this affect Base? @base is Coinbase’s L2, and this update turns it into the on-chain home for tokenized stocks and other real-world assets using the new B20 token standard. It brings more activity, liquidity, and real utility to the chain. This aligns perfectly with Base’s 2026 vision of becoming the settlement layer for global finance, where every asset can live and move efficiently on-chain. Additionally, @baseapp announced it’s coming to desktop, adding more chains, and rolling out new markets. Everything is going on-chain. My take? @jessepollak and @brian_armstrong laid it out clearly yesterday. Tokenized real assets on Base, programmable tools for agents, and a strong focus on practical global access show @coinbase is executing with conviction. This feels like a solid step toward on-chain finance for everyone. Momentum is building, the flywheel is spinning harder than ever, and the path is set. Are you ready for the journey? What stands out most to you? NFA. DYOR. Always do your own research.

Base reposted this Inco Lightning announcement, so I had to check it out. Native confidentiality feels like a timely upgrade for real adoption. I went deep on the details for builders and the ecosystem. NFA, just my breakdown. What is this? @inconetwork lets devs add real privacy straight into normal smart contracts on Base. No new chain, no weird language, nothing crazy to learn. You still write in regular Solidity as always, but now you can hide specific numbers or true/false flags so they’re not visible to everyone on the blockchain. Think sealed-bid auctions where nobody sees the bids until it’s time, private DeFi positions that don’t show your full hand, or strategy games where your moves stay hidden like fog of war. It runs inside secure hardware boxes called Trusted Execution Environments, basically locked-down processors that handle secret calculations safely and prove they did it correctly. Just import a simple library and keep building as normal. It launched on mainnet June 15 after solid testing. Finally, privacy that feels usable instead of complicated. How it helps Base? It fits Base’s 2026 vision for practical onchain utility. It solves public data friction for payments and institutions while keeping low fees and speed. It unlocks private strategies, gaming, and agent commerce, strengthening @base as the full-stack home for real-world value. Pros & Cons/Risks? Pros: Easy for devs, full composability, fast performance, properly audited. Risks: Hardware trust in the TEE setup, possible side-channel issues, not full end-to-end privacy, and it needs more real-world battle testing. Trade-offs look reasonable for what it delivers. How can we benefit? New apps like private auctions and DeFi drive volume, liquidity, and adoption. More stablecoin flows and agent activity boost TVL and fees. Early integrators and @base participants gain from network effects and growth. DYOR. My take? Smart infrastructure aligning with @jessepollak and @brian_armstrong vision for better onchain money movement. Not hype, just useful privacy. Bullish long-term as @base keeps shipping real solutions. Staying active here feels right. NFA. DYOR. What are your thoughts? Does onchain finance need more privacy rails?
