And even then I don’t think Hokazono is feeling that pressure, and if he is he probably wouldn’t care, because his editor Imamura has pretty much always had his back. He’s gonna tell the story the way he wants to tell it no matter what, so I’m not worried right now

Obviously I still want to know what happened in those first 8 months and I hope Hokazono isn’t feeling pressured to rush through the remainder of the arc, but realistically if there was any part of the war that would be skipped over, its the first half 😭 it’ll be fine

I figured a time jump would happen eventually. The war is a year and five months of time and we were never gonna see every single moment. We know Japan loses badly until the Enchanted Blades show up, and we know how strong the Mikaboshi are from the Irishima Talks. It makes sense

Ibuki has already decided his role for himself; he’s an outlaw, he’s trash, so this responsibility isn’t something he’s meant to shoulder. Samura is wracked with guilt, but is willing to accept a role he doesn’t like if it will help others. Akemura is Akemura.

I think all three of these characters have interesting relationships with taking roles. Ibuki hates himself and has decided he’s not someone who should use an EB, Samura feels similarly but still reluctantly agrees, and Akemura is the only one who asks for it directly
