Every day, we wake up, turn on the news, and feel the weight of what is happening across our country. It is exhausting people being shot in the street, rapist are put into positions of power, families being ripped apart, costs are extremely high, healthcare is unaffordable, and housing is scary high. It is frustrating. And many Americans are asking the same question: When will we demand better? The truth is, we often accept what we believe we deserve — just like in any unhealthy relationship. But America is at a moment where we must rethink our future and decide what kind of nation we want to build for ourselves, our families, and generations to come. When I announced my candidacy for Congress, I never fully understood the journey that was ahead. The conversations I have had, the stories I have heard, and the lessons I have learned from everyday Americans have been invaluable. Having traveled to 10 countries and 32 states, I have experienced the many faces of the American dream.
