Excited to be part of the new teacher celebration at @GO_Fulton and representing @ManningOaksFCS!
My classroom is almost complete! Just a few things to add so everyone can feel like a superhero. From learning to write their name to discovering new math strategies, whatever it takes to make a child feel like they are on top of the world. #StubbsSuperheroes
It warms my heart to see so many students choose a book over technology during free choice time. #TechTeacher
When telling a class of 24 they can play games all day, it is always heartwarming to see a quarter of them choosing books or coloring over computers. #StubbsSpark

Hey @GaETConf! I’m looking to move/work right where Fulton, Forsyth, and Cherokee merge as an EdTech Teacher next school year (elementary school). Anyone with connections or looking to hire? Might live around Roswell/Alpharetta. Thanks! #GaETC2022 #JobSearch
So simple and yet so easily forgotten. #SparkCuriosity
⏱ Wait time⏱ between asking a question and calling on someone for an answer — as well as waiting to respond to an answer — is an important strategy to include all learners.
Sketchnote via @ValentinaESL

ALT The power of wait time. Students need to listen to the question. Students may need time to build up courage for responding. Students need to process what they've heard. Students raise their hand in an effort to be heard. Students may need to translate from one language to another. Why should I wait? Wait 1: The time between the question and the answer. Wait 2: The time after the student answers the question. This wait time allows for an extended response.
