EXCL: The Tories have accused Sir Keir Starmer of using the Government Car Service to transport his kitten Prince between Downing Street and Chequers.
It comes after Paymaster General Nick Thomas-Symonds confirmed that ‘residents of Downing Street’ – including those in previous administrations – have frequently and publicly taken pets between residences.

It wont happen, and doesn't need to happen, but there is a procedure(*) to extend a Prorogation.
Both Houses just assemble and the Lords Commissioners tell them to go away again.
(* before the very first State Opening of a Parliament, Parliament can also be prorogued by writ without needing to assemble at all)

Appointing a Canon of Westminster or Windsor involves a Writ of Mandamus in addition to the Letters Patent. This use of the Writ may be unique to the Royal Peculiars. The Writ's eschatocol is unusual for an instrument which passes under the Great Seal. 1/2
