We've just taken these images in Tankerton.
The water discolouration suddenly appeared above the Tankerton Circus outfall, which is submerged at high tide.
It then drifted to the right. There's no rain and people are swimming.
Can we have an explanation @SouthernWater?

Excellent report from @Feargal_Sharkey and ITV GMB. The test featured in the programme was conducted at Swalecliffe by local Green campaigners with Feargal Sharkey. We often get even worse local results which in the USA would merit an emergency beach closure.
"This is measuring the levels of E. coli and therefore an indicator of faeces in the water. That scored 28, the scale runs from 0-32."
