I'll be at this next G.G.smash, so this is your opportunity to take out your UltRank algo frustrations on me (you won't find it very difficult to do so lol)

I think this is the first Smash tournament I've entered since SSC 2023?

luugi above raru so that raru gets etish (someone he's already lost to in Japan this year and who you should probably avoid for conflicts) -> crepe and luugi gets ryukai into gluto Masterful Rigging. 10/10 No Notes

ClashMania 2026 preliminary seeding. One of Europe's largest events of the year, this major features MkLeo, Peabnut. Luugi, Raru, crêpes salée, Glutonny, Raflow, MKBigBoss, and many more! Don't miss it!

Fairly sure the patch is to fix the exploit that's been going around Japanese quickplay for months that would tempban you for matching with users using the exploit. JP smash has been clamoring for a fix for months, it just never made its way overseas.

The thing about both sides of TTS complaints is that both problems ("fake majors/supermajors" and TO complaints about what it takes to get major status) feel diametrically opposed, ie trying to make one better exacerbates the other.

Making the TTS more accurate means placing a greater emphasis on who in the top 25 is at something but that means more of TOs trying to increase their event value by catering to a small set of often flaky players instead of focusing on other aspects of their events.

Yaura missing top 10 is probably the most controversial thing on this ranking to the general public (though not among the statsheads). It's a really strange resume, he won four nominal majors but with drastically weaker brackets than you'd expect.

That combined with having 8 non-top 50 Ls at majors (Shuton and Peab both had zero) sealed Yaura's exclusion from the top 10 for the mid-year.

The mid-year's just a look at how things are going though; Yaura's stumbled a little at the first couple of events after the mid-year but there's plenty of time for him to patch up his head to heads and secure a top 10 spot in the end of year, and personally I'm hoping he does it
