Suck it up and stop being a Panican! $10 gas and seven dollar diesel is all about short-term pain for long-term gain!! The next phase of the great reset is here and you will own nothing and be happy!
$10 gas in rural Ohio. How much are we spending on the wars that caused this?
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Gas stations commonly display $9.99 for regular unleaded as a signal they are out of that fuel grade, not the actual price. Ohio average regular gas price is about $4.54/gallon. politifact.com/factchecks/202… reuters.com/article/fact-c… gasprices.aaa.com/?state=OH

This is yet another attack on the First Amendment from a president who knows he and his party of bootlickers are deeply unpopular. Donald Trump can't hide from his failing record, so he's banning journalists he doesn't like to keep you from hearing about it.

I need to make a very PUBLIC announcement on behalf of younger GenXers and older Millennials. If you see someone in their 40s or 50s who seems a little boring now, I need you to understand something... We already got it in. Like...GOT. IT. IN. We are not sitting home on a Friday night because we never knew how to have fun. We are sitting home on a Friday night because we have seen enough. We went to parties in houses that should have been condemned and were almost certainly owned by the local drug dealer. We saw police lights and RAN and not across a nice, flat field. INTO THE WOODS. Do you understand the athleticism required to hurdle uprooted tree roots in platform shoes while simultaneously trying to keep your low-rise jeans from sliding completely off your ass? And somehow...we never spilled the Zima. We never spilled the Boone’s Farm. That was TALENT. We slept on floors in strange houses because the designated driver either never showed up or, in a shocking turn of events, was drunker than everybody else. There was no Uber, Life360 or Find My Friends. There was just somebody named Mike saying, “I know a shortcut.” And we FOLLOWED MIKE. We closed down bars and then decided the night was still young, so we drove to Atlantic City, where we somehow managed to get drunk, sober up, get drunk again, sober up again and then get drunk a THIRD TIME before breakfast. And according to our parents? We were at Michelle’s house. Eating pizza and watching movies. Michelle’s mother unknowingly covered for approximately 17 people every weekend. If there even was a Michelle. We drank things called Purple Passion, Mad Dog 20/20 and whatever somebody mixed inside a giant plastic garbage can. Nobody asked what was in it. You grabbed a red Solo cup and trusted the process. We went to clubs until the lights came on. Do you know the psychological damage of seeing a nightclub with the LIGHTS ON? Nothing good happens after those lights come on. We danced for four straight hours in shoes that permanently altered the structure of our feet. We made entire plans without cell phones...no texts, dropped pins or group chats...just an extremely questionable sense of direction. We rode in cars with 11 people when the vehicle legally seated five. Someone was always sitting on someone. Someone was always in the hatchback. And there was always one friend yelling, “DUCK!” when we passed a cop. So yes...now we like being home. We like sweatpants. We like cancelling plans. We like saying, “That sounds fun!” with absolutely no intention of attending. We like restaurants at 5:30 because we can get a good table. We like being home by 8:17. And if someone texts at 9:30 PM and says, “What are you doing?” Sleeping...we are sleeping. Because this is not boring my friends...this is retirement. We already played, partied and danced on the bar. We already ran from the cops through a wooded area dressed like a Spice Girl. We have stories that cannot be posted because there are still people with careers, marriages and reputations to protect. And thank GOD there were no camera phones. So kids, when you look at your Gen X and older Millennial parents sitting peacefully on the couch watching Dateline at 8 PM and think: “God, you guys are boring.” Sweetheart...oh sweetheart. You are looking at retired legends. Put some respect on our names. We're probably the reason Life360 was invented. xoxoxo (posted from someone else on FakeBook) 🤣 #genx #oldandtired

Ok this is starting to feel like a f*cking disaster. The CEO of Anthropic just published an article admitting AI is already building the next generation of AI by itself. He says within 6 to 12 months a rogue swarm could take over the entire internet and cause hundreds of billions of dollars in damage. And what makes it scarier, Elon Musk just backed up everything Dario said. All of this dropping just days after Jacob Coxon went viral with his warning about AI and the extinction of humanity. Tell me this timing isn't strange.
We Must Pace the Frontier: I’ve written a new essay on why the AI industry should slow down, with a three-part plan for doing so. Anthropic is unilaterally committing to the first of these steps. We’ll provide third-party evaluators with permanent, employee-level access to our systems, so that they can verify adherence to our safety measures, report on incidents, and assess models’ alignment during training. 🚨RADICAL LEFTIST ALAN RITCHSON, WHO HAS MADE IT HIS MISSION IN LIFE TO SPREAD LIES ABOUT PRESIDENT TRUMP, WAS JUST INFORMED BY HIS EMPLOYERS AT PARAMOUNT THAT POLITICAL POSTING ON SOCIAL MEDIA IS EXPLICITLY FORBIDDEN BY HIS CONTRACT! Follow @RedLivesMatterQ Ritchson is the lead in the show “Reacher,” which has been lagging in ratings since he began his assault on democracy. Paramount Talent Coordinator Jon Raebro says there doesn’t seem to be an interest in renewing the show for a fifth season. “Mr. Ritchson seems determined to end his own career.” Share this everywhere so the fifth season stays unrenewed! You shouldn’t have to wonder every year how much more it’s going to cost just to stay in the home you already own. Indiana capped property taxes. Blue states have done it. Illinois can do it. I want to cap the tax at 1% and deliver the largest tax break for homeowners in state history.

NEW: Judge John Lyke has threatened to jail at least 6 deputies for questioning his practice of letting high-risk murder defendants hug family members or meet in private rooms. He even allowed a cop killer to hug it out in front of the victim's family. cwbchicago.com/2026/09/judge…

Much MUCH more to come on this story. We've learned that Lyke has threatened courtroom deputies with jail before. And not just once before. We're comin' with all the receipts....
BREAKING: Judge John Lyke LOCKED UP two of his courtroom deputies this week because they did not immediately remove the handcuffs of a "high-risk" accused murderer. He's the same judge who allowed accused cop killer Alphanso Talley to be on the street. cwbchicago.com/2026/09/judge…

Welles Crowther was 24 years old. An equities trader working on the 104th floor of the South Tower. A young guy with a career ahead of him, who was also a volunteer firefighter. On September 11th, after the plane hit, he covered his nose and mouth with a red bandana and went to help. He found a stairway. Guided injured people through the smoke. Carried a badly wounded woman on his back. Then he went back upstairs. That’s the part I keep coming back to. He had helped people find a way down, and he turned around to reach the people still waiting for help. I try to imagine that decision. The noise, the smoke, the fear. I can’t honestly say I know what I would have done. Welles kept going back. He died when the South Tower collapsed. The people he helped didn’t know his name. They remembered the man in the red bandana. Later, they would learn who he was. I think about how young 24 really is. How much life he should have had left. And about the people who got to go home to their families because he was there. When we say “never forget,” these are the stories we need to keep telling. His name was Welles Crowther. He was 24. And he deserves to be remembered. Please share so we don't forget this hero.
