📢 Our sister research farm will be hosting a Row Crop Field Day on July 30th. Don't miss this opportunity to see what's happening in the southwest corner of the state! 🌱🚜
Food for Thought on ways to save water, save fuel & protect yield.
1. Observe systems-fix leaks, worn gaskets, and broken sprinklers.
2. Use end‑gun shutoffs to avoid watering non‑crop areas.
3. Use a scheduling tool and perform uniformity tests to ensure water is applied evenly.
With much of Georgia facing severe to exceptional drought, irrigation water management is more critical than ever.
Did you know that Georgia is currently in its worst drought in nearly 10 years? The latest Drought Monitor shows 80% of Georgia in at least Severe Drought. Check out this graphic to see how this compares to other big Georgia droughts in the last 20 years. #gawx #GeorgiaDrought
