I’d go with the mumu…
My gym uniform is leggings + tank top. But suddenly I want to show up in very tiny shorts. Or a mumu. Or whatever tf I want to wear because I show up to pick up heavy objects and put them down. Not to give a shit what Shane Gillis or any other misogynist thinks about how I look.

Search makes up 50% of alphabet revenue. Killing search would be the end of Google.
“[Google] knows Gemini is going to cannibalize Google Search, and the numbers are staggering." "I saw last week, search is way, way down.” “But they have all these other businesses: YouTube, Waymo, Gmail, Android.” “They can literally kill the thing that funded all those other businesses because now they have all the other businesses.” “If all they had was search and they never built those other businesses, they'd be in a world of hurt right now.” USV co-founder @fredwilson:

You can argue semantics all you want, but having a phone farm watching videos on behalf of someone on autopilot is fake engagement.
For whatever reason people got the idea that because we have a phone farm, our focus is to fake views and followers with bots. This is absolutely not the case. Every single view/follower/like/favorite on Pamba is earned. Our product does NOT support viewing videos using bots to drive fake engagement and even if it did it would be financially infeasible for $100/mo per account (that account could only earn you one view). The phones watch videos on the social media feed to warm the accounts. They do not watch videos in a targeted way in an attempt to drive fake engagement or views for a particular video. The phone farm exists ONLY so that legitimate brands can manage hundreds of social media accounts digitally, without needing to go out and buy 100 iPhones and use their hands for every day operations, which used to be the standard way to do this and is obviously an archaic approach that needs to be made obsolete. Every single person posting content on our platform is trying to make the best content possible so that they can get the most amount of real views possible, so that they can sell their product/service. It makes no sense to drive fake engagement since fake engagement doesn't make purchases.

The whole point of building Tavus has been simple: talking to a machine should feel as natural as talking to a friend or coworker. It’s hard to describe all the tiny nuances that make a conversation feel human. The little expressions. Moving around in your chair. Knowing when to speak and when to listen. The dance of it all. Griffin is by far the closest anyone has come to a model that can capture those nuances. The first time I saw it being used, I had no idea I was watching our model rather than just a normal video call. I’m so incredibly proud of this team and what they’ve built.

A lot of people are in for a rude awakening over the next few years. Many people mistakenly still believe that AI is still just a novelty chat toy or a new type of Google search. Those of us on the frontlines are seeing what is possible and where things are going. You need to adapt. I beg you: please do not allow your ego to get in the way. Do not make your vocation your central identity. Things are going to change radically and quickly. God gave you talents. You have a responsibility to cultivate them. AI doesn't replace your calling, your discernment, or your willingness to work. When used well AI can help you apply your gifts at a scale that was previously out of reach, but only if you don't let your ego get in the way and remain stuck in the past. A small business can accomplish more without a massive budget. A parent can spend less time on busywork and more time with the children. Someone with an idea can build what they once could only imagine. You don’t need to worship the technology, but you also don’t need to fear it either. You need to understand it and put it to work in service of things that matter. Be humble enough to learn. Be disciplined enough to practice. The promise and vision that we have for AI is to get more of your life back and do something worthy with it. Lean into that.

If we’re banning data centers we should get rid of the ones used for Netflix and social media too, right? Right?

One argument against AI killing us all that I haven't heard yet? Entropy. Do you still use a 386 computer? How about a 14.4k modem? Just like the human body ages and stops working, so does technology.

Yes, water is not wet below 32 degrees
Back online after internet blackout. I grew up in Connecticut and have truly never seen an ice like this ever. The temperature is 30 degrees but the ice on our trees tops is not melting at all. Never seen anything like this. Anybody else?
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
30°F is below the freezing temperature of water (32°F). en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ice

Interesting choice to associate your brand with a car wreck
This billboard makes me pause every time I drive past it. I don't know what it means but it's weirdly effective in getting me to notice it.

With the amount of people searching Google for Reddit, and while Google shifts to AI mode, this pivot makes a lot of sense.
