ARC Raiders just announced how wiping will work, since it is an extraction shooter after all - NO AUTOMATIC SERVER WIPES! - Did not want to disrespect a player's time investment - Wipes work as a prestige type system - After maxing your level, you can voluntarily reset your character's progression for a fresh start (skills, loot, etc.) - Achievements, cosmetics, rankings, awards, etc. will be kept - Resetting will give you exclusive cosmetics, permanent account unlocks, and other forms of "bragging rights" - Reset rewards will change every 8 weeks, called "Expedition Projects" This system gives hardcore players a way to keep their experience fresh, rewards time investment, and lets casual players progress at their OWN pace This seems like a fantastic way to handle it.
