We welcome this timely statement by Foreign Secretary @Ed_Miliband. Warning companies directly against bidding on the E1 tender is a concrete step aimed at the enablers of Israeli settlements in occupied Palestinian territory. All settlements are illegal under international law and must be dismantled.
We will keep working with the UK government to ensure this statement and the 8 September declaration are swiftly implemented. We urge the UK to go further: expand the scope to include a full arms embargo, sanction all those involved, including Israeli state institutions that sponsor illegal settlements, and lead a coordinated global sanctions regime.
Only accountability can end these violations and prepare the ground for a durable peace based on justice and international law.

Today is the deadline for bids for the E1 settlement tender. I want to be very clear with those considering engaging in the tendering process: we have created new powers allowing us to sanction individuals and companies involved in the construction of illegal settlements such as E1. We urge businesses and individuals not to proceed with bids for E1 construction tenders. BREAKING: Masked Israeli "settlers" attacked a convoy of European diplomats from France, Belgium and Poland during an olive harvest visit to the Christian Palestinian village of Taybeh, near Ramallah.

Dozens of masked Israeli "settlers" attacked Palestinians harvesting olives near Ramallah in the occupied West Bank on Friday, setting trees on fire and throwing stones.
The attackers also beat Washington Post photographer Heidi Levine, who was wearing a clearly marked press vest, kicking her repeatedly and stealing her equipment. She was hospitalized.
Witnesses said Israeli soldiers failed to intervene against the "settlers" and instead fired tear gas at Palestinians.

Advisers to Pete Hegseth reportedly plan to delay releasing a Pentagon report on the U.S. airstrike that hit Shajarah Tayyebeh Elementary School in Minab, southern Iran, until after the midterm elections.
The strike, carried out on the first day of the war, killed more than 150 people, including at least 123 children.
Investigators reportedly found that flawed intelligence, outdated imagery and excessive reliance on AI contributed to the attack.
The report has been nearly complete for months.
