We are heartbroken to announced that our beloved father Brian Wilson has passed away. We are at a loss for words right now. Please respect our privacy at this time as our family grieving. We realize that we are sharing our grief with the world. Love & Mercy

Goodbye, Morris. We are all gonna miss you. You could be hard on directors, make-up artists, costumers - really anyone with arms or legs - but I know you did it for the ultimate good of the film. The day you wouldnโ€™t come out of your trailer unless we sent in 40 heads of lettuce taught me a powerful lesson: never compromise your art. I will never forget at craft service that time when we split the Three Musketeers bar and you let me have the bigger half. But thatโ€™s who you were. I know your characterโ€™s decapitation in the first movie precluded your participation in the sequel, but we all appreciated the fruit basket and the hilarious note. I will miss the sound of your tail sliding through the tall grass, your cold, bumpy skin, but, most of all, I will miss your infectious laugh. Thanks to Mr. Young for taking care of you all these years, and vaya con dios, old friend.

Do you ever see something written by a historical figure and just know in your heart that they would have been such a great poster
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Op themselves has said grok has made the image, several hours after the post has been made. Note would have been needed but not anymore unless majority of users do not see the tweet attached. x.com/nedsore/statusโ€ฆ

Kids these days donโ€™t understand that memes used to last YEARS. Not days or weeks. YEARS. This was foundational. One of the core pillars upon which the rest of this *gestures broadly* was built.
On this day 20 years ago, Gary Brolsma uploaded the Numa Numa video to Newgrounds.

one of our better cultural customs is teaching English-speaking children the "Frรจre Jacques" nursery rhyme and then letting them just go buckwild with vaguely-French sounds

I keep seeing people ask how millennials are the only people who can see through the online bullsht. And Iโ€™ll tell you how. Bc we didnโ€™t always have the internet but once we did, every single school paper needed 10 reliable website sources and none could be Wikipedia or a dot com
