“It’s fine. Let it out.”
Normally Shizue was... well, ruthless, to an extent. But when it came to Wenling he was always soft, and calm. This was only heightened with the apparent distress she was in.
“Nobody’s disappointed in you. Hell, I know I’m not. You’re a better person —
“For once the crap that’s happened isn’t because of me, and honestly, I don’t know how I feel about it.”
“Wenling, listen. You don’t /have/ to do anything. You’re not a failure. I don’t know who got that in your head, but you need to realize that you didn’t do anything wrong. Shit happens.”
He’s still hugging her, patting her on the head.
A little sigh, as he moves to embrace his sister.
“You haven’t failed me, Wenling. And I doubt you failed anyone else. You may have been doing hero training, but you’re probably one of the only few I can truly tolerate. Don’t put yourself down.”
In all honesty, he won’t be upset. Heroes are so... limited, with what they can do. Doing things in the dark is more free.
That’s alright. It’s not like he isn’t prepared for... almost everything he’ll end up facing.
But he’s getting closer.
They were never great, from what he remembers.
But the info is nice. He won’t cause any more chaos if he can help it.
MORE rapid return poking.
If she keeps it up he’s going to chop her.
