There’s a lot going on in the world right now, so we’re here to share some spots of HOPE from our programs around the world.
Project HOPE CEO Rabih Torbay was recently in Venezuela and joined our local team to hand out hygiene kits to families.
In Nepal, our team donated and built 12 hospital beds to support the hospital’s recovery efforts after the flash floods.
In San Antonio, Texas, Project HOPE partnered with The Health Collaborative to host a free health fair, providing primary care checkups and health education to tackle high rates of diabetes.
In Ukraine, we completed construction of a new family outpatient clinic, which will deliver quality care for over 8,000 residents in the surrounding district!
Just five snapshots from our global programs, but countless HOPEful stories of lives changed!

NEPAL UPDATE ⚠️
More than 1,300 people have been killed & over 5,500 are still missing after the disastrous flash floods.
Project HOPE is responding in Nepal and working closely with our local partner @VCNepal to actively provide care in hard-to-reach communities with three mobile medical units (MMU).
$28 covers medicine costs for seven patients at one of Project HOPE and VCN's MMUs in Nepal.
$75 staffs a Project HOPE/VCN MMU with a doctor for one day in Nepal.
Your support helps us continue to rush lifesaving aid to families affected by the disaster, while fueling our mission to provide urgent relief and lasting support to people facing disasters, conflicts, and health crises around the world.

Nearly 1 MILLION Ukrainians are living as refugees in Poland, almost all of whom are women and children. For so many of these children, most of their lives have been lived as displaced and away from their homes and family.
The mental health impacts, especially in children, are profound.
Project HOPE runs mobile mental health units like this one to provide on-site individual and group counseling, as well as art sessions, recreational activities and more! Each unit is led by one psychologist and one social worker and ensures mental health services reach refugees, especially in remote locations.
⚠️More than 3,000 people are still missing after a glacier avalanche devastated communities in Nepal. As @projecthopeorg assesses urgent health needs on the ground, our streaming community can help fuel the response.

📍UPDATE from Pereira, Colombia.
Our team in Colombia continues to conduct needs assessments and distribute essential supplies in hard-to-reach communities — traveling by boat, around landslides, and walking through heavily damaged areas to reach those most in need. Last week, we also delivered much-needed medical supplies to San Joaquin Hospital, one of the hundreds of medical facilities severely damaged after the earthquake.

One week post-earthquake, our team has reached many affected sites in Colombia. Now in Chocó, near the epicenter. Isolated. River access only in many areas.
Our team member Edward DeBurgh reports from Bèté on the Atrato River as we assess the primary health system and prepare to deliver medical supplies and hygiene kits.
🇻🇪💙 In times of need, humanitarians do not hesitate. After the earthquakes in Venezuela, Gustavo of @ProjectHOPEALC stepped up to support his community and help those affected. Ahead of #WorldHumanitarianDay, we honor humanitarians like him who turn compassion into action.

📍 Colombia.
Thousands are missing, casualty numbers are expected to rise, and thousands of structures like homes, schools and health centers are damaged or destroyed.
Cali’s University Hospital has partially collapsed, with patients trapped underneath the rubble, and many were rushed outside and are being treated in tents.
In the coming days, Project HOPE's Colombia team will deploy to continue assessment efforts in earthquake-affected communities and distribute hygiene supplies, water and other essentials.

📍 VENEZUELA
Earthquake affected areas are facing a persistent lack of access to clean, running water.
Beyond dehydration and heat stroke, a lack of clean water also leads to a higher risk of infection and disease outbreaks. Project HOPE is providing water trucking, which has already delivered over 10,000 liters of clean water, as well as water purification tablets and over 1,000 hygiene kits containing soap, sanitizer and toilet paper to displaced families.
Recovery will take months — not days. Project HOPE remains committed to strengthening Venezuela’s health systems long after this immediate emergency.
