Whoa! An endorsement from Big E?! Let’s go!!! 📗💪🏽
Looking forward to diving into @StreamGlass’ “A Decided Novelty.” Accomplished author Ian Douglass documents the history of black professional wrestlers from 1880-1950.

Thank you Lee for picking up a copy of Truth Bee Told. I have to give Ian Douglas most of the credit, he put all my thoughts together in a way I believe you will enjoy. Please let me know what you think when you finish and all the best to you and yours.
You're welcome! Thank you for reading it!
Thank You to @davemeltzerWON for mentioning this book! I didn't know it existed and am extremely happy I now own a copy! @Killerbee1B is one of my favourite people. A very nice man and great wrestler. Can't wait to get stuck in and read this! Thanks to @streamglass, too.

Another awesome episode from @BobSmithNYC this week. @StreamGlass knocked it out of the park here and the new book sounds awesome. Ian’s work is top notch stuff.
Easily one of the nicest compliments I’ve ever received about my writing. Thanks, @BobSmithNYC.

Started to read @StreamGlass book that speaks on the historical importance of the Black Wrestling Experience and what’s cool is that is parallels the series I created back in 2019 called “Grappling With Color”.

As someone who loves wrestling history, I'm glad to see a book about Yusuf and other Turk wrestlers. Finally!
And as someone who's researched the topic a lot, I'm curious how well Ian's managed to separate fact from fiction & how much pre-American arrival background is included.

Got an advanced copy and can’t put it down. I’m writing the forward cause this is my favorite heel in history and I love Ian’s work. Ian Douglass does an outstanding job.
