Leaf clearing season.
This occurs regularly to keep the path free of leaves which, if left on the path, mulch down into a slippery mud. By clearing the leaves with our Kress blowers, we keep the path clean and user friendly. The leaves are left on the sides for wildlife.

Thank you to everyone who respects our work sites and observes from the safety of the security fencing at Easton and Shepton.
Please enjoy these images showing huge progress in digging out the Ridge Road bridge arch to the required depth, supporting by HRE. 🥰 Lots more to do!
New Axbridge viewpoint benches installed and the site tidied up. Big thanks to the whole team 🥰.
More work to do, but a huge improvement on the old version.
We’re also waiting for the council to mark disabled parking bays in nearby lookout car park 🥰
Developments at Hollybrook nature reserve, near Easton and associated view points as the path surface is extended to the second bench site, following ground works last year. Hats off to the local volunteers and Mendip Hills NL for funding 🥰
Wonder works by local volunteers from Congresbury to Winscombe, somewhat turbocharged by heavy plant and aggregate donations to deliver another large package of improvements 🥰. Aiding Accessibility.
Light at the end of the tunnel, or at least under a bridge critical to future extension from Shepton Mallet westwards to Summerhill Lane. Providing a dive under to avoid a busy road.
Plus 450m of fencing added in a single week by volunteers, with Greenways our project partners.
Look 👀 out for works at our Hollybrook nature reserve to complete the top path for the two view points. Another ‘destination’ funded by Mendip Hills NL 🥰
Please watch for a ‘No Entry’ barrier on the Easton extension works. Turn left before the signs to follow the permissive FP to Ebbor gorge. Thanks 🥰
Destination delivered!
New benches installed by local volunteers over the weekend at Axbridge and Cheddar, thanks to Mendip Hills NL accessibility funding 🥰
Further amazing surface upgrades this week either side of Easton, where the path has been damaged in extreme weather. Plus treating part of the next extension phase towards Wells. That won’t be open for some time folks !!
Big thanks to everyone involved with the surface upgrades in west Shepton. Improving accessibility and the longevity of the surface.
