It was a pleasure to show @ChicagosMayor the work the @ObamaFoundation is doing inside Jackson Park as we build the Obama Presidential Center!
I can't tell you how proud I am of our Foundation team, Lakeside Alliance, and our local partners bringing the Center to life.
Stay cool and safe out there, Chicago!
The city has cooling centers available in select neighborhoods, as well as public libraries. Find more information on how to beat the heat: chicago.gov/city/en/depts/fs…

Great conversation with @ChicagosMayor today about investments and economic opportunity that the Obama Presidential Center will bring to our city. Looking forward to working together with the Mayor as we bring change home!
On June 3, Hadiya Pendleton's family will host the 10th annual Hadiya’s Promise Party4Peace. This is an important time to come together during Gun Violence Awareness Month and celebrate Hadiya’s life, which ended too soon.

What a week in Chicago! From a surprise recording studio drop by at @GuitarsOverGuns to a panel discussion with @MBK_Alliance model communities, @BarackObama returned to the South Side to spend time in community with young people & community leaders. Get a glimpse at his visit:

We believe in the power of community to create a positive impact in the lives of boys and young men of color. At today's @MBK_Alliance Impact in Action event, attendees spent the day learning from #MBKModelCommunities including MBK Omaha, MBK Newark, MBK Tulsa, and MBK Yonkers.

Today I got to hear from @GuitarsOverGuns—one of @MBK_Alliance’s Freedom Summer ‘22 recipients—about how they’re working to support young people on the South Side of Chicago.
When the Obama Presidential Center opens, it will offer spaces and programming just like this.
Thanks for letting me join!
It was a great start to the week hearing from my friend @EbooPatel and Suzanne Yoon at @EconClubChi's latest Global Thought Leaders chat. Eboo was an inaugural member of @BarackObama's Advisory Council on Faith-Based Neighborhood Partnerships. So you could say we go way back!
Chicago: I wanted to personally invite you to our @ObamaFoundation #EarthDay event! We're partnering with Emerald South to host 3 park clean-ups on the South Side. We'll also celebrate with food, music, and giveaways!

This right here! This is where my pride in my Obama journey comes to life: Through the incredible alumni I had the opportunity to work with at the Obama White House.
Great to be with so many @BarackObama alumni in DC tonight. You keep inspiring me each and every day!!
Had an incredible conversation last night with @SocEntChi1 on the importance of creating change with communities and supporting the next generation of leaders.
My pride in the Obama journey comes to life through the @ObamaFoundation and the lives we’ve touched along the way.
Any chance I get to spend with @NaomiDavisBIG and the @BlacksInGreen MVPs brings me incredible joy. They’re out here fighting environmental racism one neighborhood at a time. Thanks for letting me share the @ObamaFoundation's vision for a safer, greener future in Chicago.
This picture of @bsw5020, @sabrevaya, and @BarackObama celebrating No Ordinary Campaign with the @ObamaFoundation makes me smile! Forever inspired by my fellow Obama alumni for continuing to believe hard and hope even harder to make real change everywhere—even as they battle ALS.
Last night, @sabrevaya and I had the privilege of being with @BarackObama at an @ObamaFoundation alumni event for @noc_film.
As I listened to him, I kept thinking about how him becoming President and me being alive right now were supposed to be impossible.
Nothing is impossible
Glad to represent the @ObamaFoundation at @SXSW, and talk about how we're helping young people level up through mentorship, on-the-job training, and apprenticeship work.
The potential of today’s youth is limitless. I’m incredibly proud we’re able to show up for them. #SXSWEDU
Dr. Louise Bernard is such a baller! So happy to see @ChicagoMag shine a light on my friend as she helps the @ObamaFoundation build the Obama Presidential Center Museum in Jackson Park.

ALT A photo of Dr. Louise Bernard speaking with a community member. A quote that reads: "We think about how we are bringing the world to the South Side, and the South Side to the world."
Okay, TV stars...very cool to see our @MBK_Alliance youth get a national spotlight for the @Comcast-produced special, “I Am My Brother’s Keeper."
Looks like if you're in Chicago, you can catch the special on NBC this Saturday, Feb. 18 at 6 pm CT or Sunday, Feb. 19 at 12 pm CT.
You gotta see it to dream it!
Great to see @MBK_Alliance's 🔥Chicago/London exchange trip featured in @Comcast's new “I Am My Brother’s Keeper" special.
Be sure to check your local NBC listings to find out when it's airing in your community. #WeAreMBK
