Join us on the Rec every Sunday at 9!
From the laughter at the start to the high-fives at the finish, we want to show the joy, inclusivity, and community spirit that makes junior parkrun a place where everyone is welcome ❤️

Wonderful story. Volunteering at parkrun is a joy.
Not an obligation.
1/6 A thank you 🧵to @parkrunUK
In 2021 at 84, my dad, Leo volunteered for the 1st time @Southportpkrun
In Feb 24 he volunteered his 127th and final time
He died 2 weeks later😢
He was an avid writer of thank you letters but didn't have the opportunity to thank parkrun...

Seven years ago I met an amazing guy @parkrunUK
Me, a blind runner and him my guiderunner. Over the miles we fell madly in love…
And yesterday we became husband & wife!
Thanks @Southportpkrun @DocRunner1 for introducing us & celebrating our special day.

Another three or four volunteering occasions would be good this weekend.
Hint hint.
parkrun has had more instances of volunteering globally than the rough population of New York or London 🏙️
