Well said @karunchandhok - the attitude from those like Franz Tost only holds us back. Yes, there are sacrifices and compromises involved in working in the sport - but no, we shouldn’t take a “like it or lump it” approach.

Having zero interest in formula 1, I had no idea that James Hunt was vehemently anti-Apartheid. He condemned it live on air during a race (to the BBC's embarrassment), tried to get his broadcasts blocked in SA & gave money to Black anti-Apartheid groups jalopnik.com/the-james-hunt-…
This is relevant from @TheBishF1. James and Lewis both stood/stand up for causes they believed in, and were/are both happy to walk their own path regardless of others’ expectations. Those who tutted then at cut offs and no shoes - tut now at fashion choices.
