Prodrive is celebrating alongside JCB, Ricardo and the whole JCB Hydromax team after the hydrogen-powered streamliner established a new FIA World Land Speed Record with an official average speed of 𝟰𝟬𝟲.𝟯𝟮𝟬 𝗺𝗽𝗵.
Driven by Wing Commander Andy Green OBE, JCB Hydromax completed the record attempt on the Bonneville Salt Flats, setting a new world benchmark for a hydrogen combustion-powered vehicle.
Following its appointment to the programme this time last year, Prodrive has played a key role, being responsible for vehicle integration and trackside operations, helping prepare both car and crew for the unique challenges of a world land speed record campaign.

F1 is having a red letter day. Very silly to punish a driver for showing emotion and losing his temper when a car has failed. Smacks of the referee wanting to be a part of the conversation. Meanwhile taking a car out of the race costs you just 10s. Crackers. 🤷🏻♂️

I love it that Max Verstappen is doing the @24hNBR. But please don’t make the mistake of thinking this year’s race is extra mega. It’s ALWAYS this mega. It is amusing watching F1 types ‘discover’ the race. It’s brilliant, however, to have the spotlight on GT racing. Thanks Max!

Well it’s been at least a week since F1 made a decision that flies in the face of logic and reason. Like I always say, give it a choice and F1 will make the wrong one every time - and almost always in the name of ‘entertainment’. This one is idiotic.

This is an interesting list! Might have switched two and three around and I’ve never been convinced by James Hunt beyond childhood worship, but it’s all the opinion of someone I respect highly and worthy of debate. Hard to argue with #1.
