This idea that Jews were universally beloved post-Holocaust and only "ruined" their global reputation once Israel was founded is offensively naive. There was no clean slate. Jew hatred didn't take a sabbatical in 1945. Survivors returned home to ransacked homes, pogroms in Poland, quotas in the U.S., and "No Jews Allowed" signs still up in country clubs and universities.
