No frightful weather in store for the little ghosts & ghouls tonight! We kick off trick-or-treating in the low to mid 70s, dipping into the 60s by peak hours, and settling into the upper 50s by midnight. Have a safe and spooky Halloween! #Halloween

(Posted 10/9/26) Remnants of Isaias will bring wind and rain to the Tennessee Valley A landfall of Hurricane Isaias tonight in the Pensacola-Navarre-Destin area. Isaias could weaken to a tropical storm farther inland by Saturday Morning. The remnants of Isaias will bring the Tennessee Valley windy and wet weather for Saturday and Saturday Night then tapering on Sunday Morning. Wind: Local wind speeds should begin picking up overnight Friday Night and into Saturday Morning as the wind field of Isaias expands after landfall. Strongest wind locally during the day Saturday and continue through Saturday Night. Average speeds in the 15-25mph range with gusts at times in the 30-40mph range. Local mountains could have gusts at times 50-60mph. So, power outages are a concern. Strongest gusts timing from Saturday Morning through Saturday Night, the gradually lower speeds through the day Sunday. Rainfall: Local amounts will vary due to pockets of heavier downpours within the bands of rain. 1"-3" average with some isolated higher totals. It has been dry lately but amounts like this could still lead to areas of flooding. "Training" or repeated rounds of heavy rain could lead to isolated higher totals. Severe Storms/Tornadoes: Will we be monitoring this through the day Saturday. Overall instability needed for severe storms is low for now, but that could change during the inland movement. The Storm Prediction Center has locations around the Atlanta metro and south under a marginal, level 1 out of 5 risk for severe weather. That is where the higher risk for tornadoes could occur. As with any tropical system the strength, timing and inland track could still change. #CHAwx #Chattanooga
