So now you need to buy a hardware wallet, and not open it for over a year to wait for potential reports of compromise. And then that only works until everyone does that, making the tactic useless, and then you have to wait 2 years to open the next one.

Why is Netflix advertising this fully remote software engineering job in the Seattle Times Classifieds this week - but the same job isn't listed on their career website? We bet a lot of Americans would take a fully remote job at Netflix for a $750k salary!

On December 5, 2019, I led a workshop in NYC on using Coldcard and Wasabi with members of the local Bitcoin community. We helped attendees set up a Coldcard on testnet using a dice-generated seed and demonstrated how to CoinJoin with Wasabi. Although we encouraged people to roll dice, and this workshop took place before the vulnerable firmware release (v3.05 was the latest version at the time), **if you attended and aren't certain how or when you initialized your wallet, please move your funds out of an abundance of caution.** Please share this post. We didn't keep a list of attendees, so this is the only way I know to reach people who may have been affected. My heart goes out to everyone impacted. I'm deeply sorry.

buy 100 dice of different brands or print out 2000+ words onto paper and pull them from a hat after quadruple checking they match the word list?

Only one chance in this lifetime… Like watching sunset at the beach from the most foreign seat in the cosmos, I couldn’t resist a cell phone video of Earthset. You can hear the shutter on the Nikon as @Astro_Christina is hammering away on 3-shot brackets and capturing those exceptional Earthset photos through the 400mm lens. @AstroVicGlover was in window 3 watching with @Astro_Jeremy next to him. I could barely see the Moon through the docking hatch window but the iPhone was the perfect size to catch the view…this is uncropped, uncut with 8x zoom which is quite comparable to the view of the human eye. Enjoy.

A critical aspect of Bitcoin's design, and a hot topic of debate when making changes to it it, is its resistance to state level attacks, and how to maintain/improve that. A single company comes along (Jane Street) and completely destroys a unrelated and poorly designed protocol (Terra/LUNA) and you're outraged because why exactly? Terra/LUNA was "Delegated Proof-of-Stake". TerraUSD was an "algorithmic stablecoin". We have been telling you these things are inherently broken for years.
Jane Street did nothing wrong.

Those protocols are broken *because* they can be attacked like this. Wanting regulatory protections from that misses the whole point. No bailouts. Genesis block.

Algorithmic stable coins are garbage. Jane Street just proved it. What do you want? A government bailout for a garbage system?
