News kinda buried under a lot of dung throwing in Washington: Congress passed HR 5334 for 500% tariffs for importing proiducts from Russia. U.S. hard-surface industry imports zero materials from Russia, but another part of law allows president to put 100% tariff on any goods from countries still importing 15% or more of Russian petroleum products or natural gas after 30 days from now. Countries on that list: China, India, Turkiye, and the EU. Brazil currently buy 11% of Russian refined products as of end of August. Forewarned is forearmed.
