Adding some much nicer menus. #ScreenshotSaturday
I don't want to end up with a terminal case of side-project-itis but I still want to polish this up a bit and add some combat so I'm putting a strict deadline of three more weeks for any additions.
Prototyped a little conversation system. Big success frankly, it won't take much work to port this back onto the main branch.
Having characters talk like this is so magical, really adds a personal touch that my last game was missing! #ScreenshotSaturday
I was going to do a straight adaptation of the Major but I deviated the further I got through the process and now I think I'll use Mokoto Kuromagi here as a mascot character for my engine.

Taking the opportunity to edit the colours and shamelessly repost this doodle I did of miss Ethelyn Dax from my boy's game, Ctesiphon
go grab it
I'm thrilled to announce another bundle for Ctesiphon just in time for the Steam Autumn Sale! To coincide with the version 1.05 update, you can now get the game in a bundle with @hedondev's boomer shooter masterpiece, HEDON!
New video for #screenshotsaturday: I've ported in Ctesiphon's system for lighting entities as they move around. Adding a gun to demonstrate meant I couldn't help myself but add some bobbing to it.
Ported the old particle system to my new engine. Practically unchanged for the last ten years except for how I store the definitions. #screenshotsaturday
A late update for #ScreenshotSaturday. I refactored all my mixing and decoding to be done on miniaudio's own thread instead of the needlessly complicated triple-buffered system I had before. It's also allowed me to add a simple low-pass filter.
Fine, there you go. That's it. No more bitching! I refuse to make it any more obvious! #ScreenshotSaturday

As I've mentioned before, I'd love to have Thief style maps in Project Goblin, and here's the first one!
Might be a bit rough since I drew it in Aseprite with the mouse lol. Still tried to use some filters and tricks to make it look hand drawn. How does it look?
Took eight, long months for me to finally get around to finishing this one off. Tried a slightly different shading technique to what I usually use and I think it paid off big.
Big finish! The final subject is my own "Ctesiphon" and I'm taking the opportunity to go back and draw my main character again with everything I've learned this month. Had to stop partway through clean lining but she is looking fantastic! #indiedev
Threw in Ctesiphon's stereo spatialization along with a bunch of interaction sounds. #screenshotsaturday

I added the classic push-style buttons from Quake where you can activate them by bumping into them. I'm intending to instead have the kind you interact with via a use key but this was easy enough to set up along the way. #ScreenshotSaturday
Yeah sure, being able to walk around on and jump off of moving platforms is pretty cool...
But what about doing the same on SPINNING platforms!?
This week was all about getting the different brush models in the map moving, along with having them push you around. Here I've got these double doors set up with an overlap trigger brush to open and close automatically.
