I’m building a portfolio of income-producing assets that pay me whether I work or not.
✔️ Dividends
✔️ Cash-flowing investments
✔️ Long-term wealth
Sharing what I’m learning along the way.
The approach is simpler than most people think 👇
A falling share price creates a higher yield.
The next step is understanding why it fell.
Temporary fear and lasting business damage can look identical on a one-day chart.
$SPCX earnings:
☑️ Revenue jumped 161% to $14.6B, with $4.4B in net profit.
☑️ Capital spending reached $19.6B.
☑️ AI brought in $7.6B of revenue, mostly from renting computing capacity.
If you're buying SpaceX for rockets and Starlink, that AI exposure deserves a closer look.
$NFLX earnings:
☑️ $0.87 EPS versus $0.82 expected.
☑️Revenue grew 12% to $12.87B.
But it cut its annual advertising forecast from $3B to $2.7B, and Q4 profit guidance disappointed.
Next quarter is getting more scrutiny than this last one.
Down 5% after-hours.
Some companies sound straightforward until I try to explain how they actually make money.
Who pays them? For what? Why do customers keep coming back?
Which business took you longer to understand than you expected?
A dividend payment feels different once I think about what I paid to receive it.
Collecting $50 is nice. Having thousands tied up in a struggling business deserves a closer look.
What would make you sell an income holding?
$GM beat earnings expectations.
☑️ Revenue reached $50B.
☑️ Adjusted operating profit rose 22%.
☑️ The board authorized another $20B in buybacks.
Shares are down 7% premarket.
Wall Street appears more worried about what comes next than impressed by what GM just delivered.
Electricity is easy to overlook until it stops flowing.
$XEL serves homes and businesses across eight states while investing in the grid and the changing mix of power behind it.
A familiar utility doing an essential job. Would you consider it for income?
3M just raised its 2026 profit outlook.
Q3 adjusted sales rose 4.2%.
Adjusted earnings per share jumped 12%.
Higher prices and tighter cost controls helped margins.
When profits grow faster than sales, it's worth asking what's doing the work.
Power infrastructure rarely gets much attention. It becomes noticeable when it is missing.
Atrem 🇵🇱 builds and modernizes the electrical and automation systems that keep larger projects running.
Would $ATR.WA make your international watchlist?
Waiting is part of investing.
It gives earnings time to grow, dividends time to compound and good decisions time to prove themselves.
Activity and progress follow different clocks.
Two people can own the same stock and need very different things from it.
One wants income next month. The other has 25 years before retirement.
What's a stock you own for a different reason than most people?
A raise can arrive with a list of things you've been putting off.
By the time you catch up, the extra money already has somewhere to go.
What's the first thing you'd do with an extra $200 a month?
I keep seeing these X circles, so I thought I’d make one too. Here’s my X family! How many familiar faces do you recognize?
A tree harvested today can become lumber, panels and the frame of a future home.
$WFG operates across that chain, turning forest products into the materials used to build and repair communities.
Would West Fraser make your watchlist?
A stock can be a tiny position and still take up a ridiculous amount of attention.
At some point, I have to ask whether I'm willing to build it into something larger.
What makes a small holding worth keeping in your portfolio?
GPUs keep getting the headlines.
Micron just opened its second advanced memory packaging plant in Taiwan, and its planned HBM capacity for 2027 is already fully booked.
The AI arms race has a memory bottleneck.
$MU is expanding directly into it.
If I owned a rental property, I'd want to know whether the tenant was paying and the building needed repairs.
With a REIT, it's easy to skip straight to the share price.
What do you check before deciding a REIT is doing well?
Buying a rental property feels out of reach.
Fixing a tenant’s sink at 2am doesn’t sound appealing either.
REITs caught my attention for a reason much closer to everyday life.
