Wildwood A triumphant and magnificent film which I do have issues with, but ultimately are continually outweighed by all there is to love about this movie.

It's mad that, aside from 'The Parting of the Ways', this is easily the best regeneration story of the past 40 years.

Wicker Fun, enjoyable, clever, at times a bit frustrating but with a very strong emotional core.

Even though Mahershala Ali gave perhaps the best performance of the year
Just realized that we're likely to have the first Oscars without a Black acting nominee since 2015.

Whalefall There is some stuff I love and some stuff I hate, quite a conflicting movie. I lean more towards liking it in general but overall it is a very messy and inaccessible movie for me. Some exceptional stuff that is part of a very flawed whole.

Norton Folgate. A character I may not fully understand yet but that’s by designed. Everything about him is built to make your head spin and question everything. But while there’s so much to still learn, there is something so fundamental to him we all can grasp, his core humanity.

Yvonne Hartman. A wonderfully complex character whose change can be very hard to notice. Nonetheless the change is still significant no matter how small. She brings so many themes to closure while introducing many of her own. A truly unique and perfectly executed main character.
