On the grassy bank of a suburban track in March, @Stewy_mac3 wondered if he would ever run again. Gasping for every breath, he had failed to finish a race for the first time in his life. The rest of his 2022 season is history 🇦🇺🌟 MORE👉bit.ly/McSweynAgain #ThisIsAthletics

Stewart McSweyn🇦🇺 in running 12:56.50 at #BrusselsDL @Diamond_League joins an elite group of only 9 athletes who have run under 3:30, 7:30 & 13:00 for the respective distances. Tremendous achievement over the last 3 years of racing. @WorldAthletics @AthsAust #ThisIsAthletics

Good luck to all the athletes competing at tomorrow's @BeachsideGift masterminded by the indefatigable Tim Mason. A fantastic line up of athletes are on board and ready to impress including @Stewy_mac3. Will we see Stewy in Stawell this year? #powercorstawellgift

Amazing what can spring from an idea. We now have a scholarship that will make a significant impact on the next generation of future mid/dist runners from the North West Coast. Thanks @Stewy_mac3 and @melbtrackclub

Surely when you name a race on King Island after the King himself, @Stewy_mac3, it should be a 'Class A' handicap. Got the distance about right though.

Just wrapped a really fun chat with Australian distance star @Stewy_mac3. Check it out when you get a chance — we talk about Nic Bideau’s training philosophy, racing a ton, growing up on King Island (pop: 1585), and why @WorldAthletics needs to bring back 4x1500 at World Relays! – at Brookline, MA
