Just remembered that this trend is now dead. Baseball failed to match Softball’s regional outcome for the first time since 2019.

Just remembered this from last year. Both teams won a regional last season, so that means for 5 years and counting, the Arkansas Baseball and Softball teams have had the exact same outcome in the regional round. Softball has already advanced... Baseball to supers confirmed?

Overall, not even close. DVH's teams have gotten dramatically better at fielding over his tenure. Pretty much every team prior to 2017 had more errors than this team. However, this team does currently have the most (62) since 2019 (67).

In case you didn't know how important today's game is... In each of the last 16 regionals Arkansas played in, its fate was based on the first 2 games. They started 2-0 nine times: Won all nine regionals. They failed to start 2-0 seven times: Eliminated in all seven regionals.
