This headline just kept getting wilder and wilder.
At age 52, Ichiro just threw a 127-pitch shutout with 17 strikeouts during an All-Star game against the best high school girls in Japan. seattletimes.com/sports/mari…
Hmm, definitely don’t like that this seems to imply we guaranteed him he would close games.
The Bulls reportedly refused to promise Jonathan Kuminga a starting spot or to close games on most nights, per @JoelXLorenzi.
That’s one way to guarantee he doesn’t sign with you.
Walter Clayton Jr was one of the Gobert picks. It’s crazy people still think that was a bad trade.
Walter Clayton Jr., D’Angelo Russell, Jordan Hawkins and Kris Murray are likely the group of players that could be waived by the Memphis Grizzlies in order to meet the 15-man roster compliance standards, per @JakeLFischer on @BleacherReport.

🚨 EXCLUSIVE: After our bombshell investigation of FAA/air traffic controllers, and hearing from 400+ controllers, @SenatorDurbin says @SecDuffy @FAA_Bryan should address the matter.
“Air traffic controllers already have one of the most stressful jobs in the country, and new, harrowing reporting shows they are being pushed to the brink by this administration as they work endlessly to ensure millions of people safely get to their destination,” Durbin said in a statement to the Washington Examiner.
Durbin, a longtime advocate of air traffic controllers, alleged that the administration is weaponizing well-deserved compensation adjustments against an exhausted workforce.
“Reporting shows that their pay increase is being used as a bargaining chip by the Trump administration, they work significant overtime hours, they have to request off a year in advance, they are not receiving access to mental health resources, and the list goes on,” Durbin said.
“Instead of focusing on his ridiculous reality TV show, the Secretary of Transportation should be prioritizing protecting the men and women who are working around the clock to keep our skies safe,” Durbin said.

The untold story of air traffic controllers:
US air travel has surged since 1980. 906 million people boarded flights last year compared to 295 million in 1980, yet we have 11,000 controllers now compared to 16,300 back then.

lol remember when ESPN tweeted out that the investigation was over and that they found the Clippers of doing nothing wrong?
I love how Tim Connelly is trading all of our future 1sts as soon as we can so that the door is open for us to do all sorts of illegal shit during Ant’s prime. That’s my GM.
The bulk of the punishment is rightfully on the Clippers, but absolutely no suspension for Leonard is wild.
BREAKING: The NBA has ruled on the Los Angeles Clippers in for salary cap circumvention investigations on Kawhi Leonard after yearlong probe -- stripping the franchise of 5 first-round picks, issuing a $30 million fine to owner Steve Ballmer and suspensions for Ballmer, Lawrence Frank and Gillian Zucker, sources tell ESPN.
Kawhi Leonard will have to pay $700,000 in restitution for improper benefits by the Clippers for his uncle and former business rep, Dennis Robertson. No contract void or suspension for Leonard. And Robertson -- who was fired by Leonard in June -- is being banned by the NBA from all business dealings.
The last time I dunked I was barely able to anymore. I told myself that day I would never attempt another dunk ever again so that I’ll forever be able to myself that I can still dunk.
NAW was also a former 1st rd pick we acquired from Utah who appeared to be a bust with awful stats and has a family member on the OKC Thunder. It’s a proven strategy.

This is 🤯 .... Air traffic controllers are working “10-hour shifts six days a week.” Riley said they can be left with little time outside work other than recovering before returning for another shift.
FAA says controllers could spend more time in those shifts on duty, but then says mandatory overtime reached levels between fiscal 2023—2025 that “far exceed any reasonable use” and warned that chronic overtime contributes to fatigue, burnout, and ultimately the loss of controllers.
Yet FAA says controllers are not being productive enough to earn the same raise other government employees received. It's no wonder ATCs are aggravated.
