So my latest #FM24 simulation has seen me run this tactic for Rangers on a season, and compare it vs how five other managers do when put in charge of the club
Clement, Kevin Muscat, Frank Lampard, Francesco Farioli...and Michael Beale
Results are certainly interesting
Horrible news to wake up this morning
Whether you knew him as a Bastard, a Death Rider or the King of the Cruiserweights, he is one of the greatest UK exports wrestling has ever seen

Rangers Twitter - anyone know where I can pick up last seasons match day quarter zip? Mines got ruined in the wash and I think it goes better with this seasons top

Fans will rightly say we should have went out to score more against Haiti, but looking at how the best 3rd place table is right now, a 5-0 win wouldn’t have mattered much either
Personally, it is the Morocco game that has hurt us the most
A moment not talked about where the dominoes starting falling on Clarke’s handling of the campaign was his replacement of Billy Gilmour
Tyler Fletcher will be a good player in years to come, but playing no minutes isn’t effectively filling what Gilmour brings to this squad
After looking for so long that 3 points and a negative goal difference would get you through in 3rd, the results of Match Day 3 have made that very unlikely
At what point do you start asking if Scotland are making these tournaments in spite of Clarke instead of because of him?
Squeaky bum time until Saturday night now

Reads as though Tav has thrown a huff about not starting his last game at Ibrox and left
Sad way for it to end
James Tavernier exits Rangers after sensational bust-up with Danny Rohl as captain misses out on Ibrox goodbye

Further to this, our last 3 games XG against vs goals conceded
Motherwell - 0.76, 3 conceded
Hearts - 0.75, 2 conceded
Celtic - 1.04, 3 conceded
This comes from facing a veryhigh-performing finishing or, more commonly, suffering from poor goalkeeping or defensive errors

Before the games in the last seven days, Rohl had dropped points in eight games.
In those games, Rangers were only out-XG'd in two of those - the drab 0-0 draw at Hibs and the 2-2 Old Firm with Celtic at Ibrox (XG for the latter was skewed by late Celtic pen)
THREAD 🧵
It is understandable that pressure has fallen on Danny Rohl, as it should for any manager who losses third in a row.
However, the underlying data on his Rangers dropped points shows the issues go way beyond him and more on to his players
On average in those eight games, Rangers out XG'd their opponents 2.34 to 1.26. In comparison, it was 0.87 to 0.9 in the games against Hearts and Celtic
