Cops pulls over a suspected DUI and quickly discover they just caught a 41 year old predator in the real time with a car load of 13 and 14 year olds. A routine traffic stop on I-40 in Albuquerque, New Mexico, turned into a chilling takedown when a State Police sergeant intercepted a driver swerving erratically across traffic before taking a dangerous turn onto I-25. ​When the officer approached the truck, he discovered 41-year-old Jeremy Jay Guthrie behind the wheel with six children packed inside—all between the ages of 13 and 14. Guthrie bizarrely claimed the underage passengers were his "friends" and attempted to convince the officer that a 14-year-old girl in the front seat was 18 years old. ​The encounter escalated immediately when Guthrie was ordered out of the vehicle and the officer noticed his pants were completely unzipped. Guthrie blamed forgetfulness, but after failing field sobriety tests, he was arrested on the scene for DWI and six counts of child abuse while the officer contacted parents to retrieve the kids. ​The investigation that followed uncovered the true ongoing nightmare: Detectives revealed Guthrie had originally targeted one of the 13-year-old passengers and her twin sister on Snapchat when the victim was only 12. A horrific pattern of grooming and abuse unfolded across local motels and remote desert mesas, resulting in the young victim becoming pregnant and suffering a miscarriage. Even behind bars, Guthrie attempted to maintain contact with the minor using a phone inside the detention facility to call her. In the eyes of this sick 41 year old man, that young girl was his girlfriend. ​Guthrie was ultimately indicted on multiple counts of Criminal S*xual Penetr@tion of a Minor (CSPM) and related felonies. Following his trial, he was sentenced to 36 years behind bars. This prison term was affirmed on appeal. Great job by this officer to sniff this out and get this dude off the streets and out of the lives of these kids before he could create further damage.
