They’ve been dumping shit in the rivers for six years and the punishment is a fine smaller than the CEO’s annual bonus. We get the sewage and the price rises, they get the dividends. It fucking stinks, in more ways than one.
South West Water (SWW) has been fined almost £8m for hundreds of sewage spillages across Devon and Cornwall over a six-year period.

"Public ownership of water industry could save £22billion, MPs are told."
Oh look, you were lied to, nationalising the water industry isn't going to cost you billions, it could in fact save you £22 billion.
Who'd have guessed it.

Tony Mowbray is a great of football. An individual who has overcome great personal loss and oozes compassion.
This might be one of the most remarkable ways I’ve ever seen football keep someone in the game 👏
Former Middlesbrough and Burnley player Gary Parkinson suffered a devastating stroke in 2010 that left him with locked-in syndrome. He was fully conscious, but unable to move or speak.
Yet his football brain was completely intact ⚽️✅
So his former teammate and then-Middlesbrough manager, Tony Mowbray, found a way to keep him involved.
Gary would watch footage of potential signings and, with help from his family, give his scouting verdict using between one and four blinks.
That detail is incredible 🙌
Today, two of Gary’s former clubs, Middlesbrough and Burnley, face each other, with supporters being urged to get behind fundraising for his 24-hour care.
Football gives you far more than a job. For so many people, it becomes part of who you are.
Never be too quick to judge what somebody still has to offer ❤️

Hi @asda I happily bough petrol from your Asda Bradford Superstore at Rooley Lane this week (I was on fumes!). But I couldn't help notice that there was a ridiculous amount of litter all over the site of the store trapped in the bushes. Could you look into that?

Reform have no intention of using the navy to stop the boats.
The big plan is to send one ship, get turned away by the French authorities & blame the failure on the French & the ECHR.
Then they'll drag us out of the ECHR to strip our rights so their donors can take advantage.
Is this @WHSmith price gouging on bottles of water? A bottle of water for £3.69?
It’s cheaper for a can of Stella!

NEW: Why would Nigel Farage & George Cottrell share the same lawyer?
In @thenerve_news we revealed that the Reform donor under investigation by the NCA & the Reform leader under investigation by Parliamentary Standards share the same Carter Ruck lawyers.
Why?

Our thoughts are with Kevin’s family, friends, and everyone at Newcastle United at this incredibly sad time.
A true giant of English and North East football, his impact on the game will never be forgotten.
Rest in peace, Kevin ❤️

NEW: A convicted money launderer has operated at the highest level of UK politics for a decade. Why? Because Farage has enjoyed almost total impunity from the UK press.
In my new piece for @thenerve_news, I expose the decade of denial that’s enabled him to act with impunity

It's maybe time for a long story on @carolecadwalla who had warned and done the work on potential corruption around Farage et al years ago but was instead hounded and insulted and later sued.
Even worse, she wasn't listened to at the time. Why not?

Remember how I said if scheme looks like money laundering & smells like money laundering, Brexit Party’s should prove it’s *not* money laundering? That was before I knew an *actual* money launderer involved. Meet George Cottrell. Convicted felon. And acting Brexit Party treasurer

Reported while female.
Didn’t work for a right-wing newspaper.
Dismissed & ridiculed by men who did.
Gaslit for a decade.
Sued through the courts.
But I’m not the loser here.
This decade of denial has caused Britain irreparable harm.
