It's been a good week for Putin. In recent days, Trump has:
* Struck a diesel deal lifting some sanctions
* Restricted Starshield for Ukraine
* Cut intel warnings of Russian missile launches against Ukraine for several days
* Canceled Lindsey Graham sanctions
* Demanded Ukraine dump Zelensky
* Absolved Russia for helping Iran fight the US
* Pushed Europe to resume buying Russian gas

Trump is clearly freaking out as both parties have universally condemned his decision to remove Lindsey Graham’s sanctions against Russian oligarchs. He’s now trying to argue it’s about some secret plan he has to end the war in Ukraine. You have to be a special kind of stupid to believe this guy’s lies at this point.

With this demented rambling, Putin puppet Trump allies the United States with fascist Russia and destroys 250 years of nation-building by the American people.

President Trump’s decision to waive sanctions against Russia as Putin continues his brutal war of aggression against Ukraine dishonors the legacy of the late Senator Lindsey Graham and is decidedly not in the national interests of the United States and should be reversed.
Putin is a war criminal and only understands strength. Waiving Graham Act sanctions on Russia signals weakness at a moment that demands American strength. Now is the time to stand strong against Russian aggression, just as we did during the years of the first Trump Administration.
A victory in Ukraine would be a victory for freedom and is squarely in the national interests of the United States. If Putin overruns Ukraine, I have no doubt it will only be a matter of time until Russia’s military crosses a border that our troops will have to deal with him.
For the cause of freedom, for America’s national security and that of our allies including Ukraine, President Trump should Restore sanctions under the Graham Act immediately, Rescind the diesel deal with Russia and Rally our Allies to ensure Ukraine has the military support it needs to repel and defeat this Russian invasion once and for all. The Graham law was passed for a reason: to put pressure on Russia to end its war against Ukraine. We should be using every tool available to bring Putin to the negotiating table, not taking pressure off him. Peace requires leverage.

Sir Richard Branson has accused Donald Trump of being “an appeaser to autocrats and dictators”.
The outspoken Virgin Group founder criticised Trump on LinkedIn in response to reports that the US president had blocked Ukraine from the Pentagon’s Starshield system, a critical defensive and battlefield support system.

There are certain decisions that will go down as history-defining moments. This is one of them. It's a terrible misjudgment of Putin, who has made it clear he wants to destroy the West. We shouldn't help him do it.

This isn’t in our “national interest.”
It doesn’t lower our prices or create opportunities for Americans —
It just actively emboldens Putin in his illegal and immoral war against Ukraine. Enough.

Beyond irresponsible. What part of enforcing a law passed 86-11 by the Senate does the President and his advisors not understand? It’s unconscionable that this administration is capitulating to a Russian dictator who illegally invaded Ukraine and butchers innocent civilians every single day. If the President wants to actually bring down energy prices, he can do it by solving the Iran problem, not by doing a solid for Vladimir Putin.

Trump just waived all of the sanctions on Russia provided for in the Lindsey Graham Sanctioning Russia Act, just as I and others warned he would.
Trump’s latest surrender to Putin again betrays our Ukrainian partners and defies clear congressional intent of legislation designed to punish Russia for its illegal war of aggression.
Trump has proven he will twist this law and abuse the powers it conferred on him, and while he has let the tariff powers lie for the moment, the law as written also empowers Trump to weaponize new trade authorities against our allies and trading partners.
Congress must fix this flawed law to stop Trump from capitulating to Putin and ensure that it truly supports Ukraine.
Trump order just issued from the White House:
“I am hereby waiving the application of such sanctions, restrictions, and duties [on Russia] provided for in the Graham Act.”

The oil prices are currently escalating. This evening they jumped by almost 4% in a matter of minutes and it is no surprise. The Iranian regime is currently fully enjoying their freedom to strike ships in the Strait of Hormuz while feeling safe that Ukraine is getting blamed for it.
Gaslighting, deflecting and lying is not going to push down our energy prices. The Iran war is a mess and it will get worse. Far worse.

Vladimir Putin's war on a sovereign European nation is deeply at odds with America's global interests.
Helping Ukraine win this war puts America First.
US has not spent $350B on Ukraine. It has spent $132B, $33B of that is money. The rest is $21B in loans, repaid from frozen Russian assets, $4B in humanitarian aid, and the vast majority, $74B is military equipment.
Half that equipment is new, made in the US. The other half is old stockpile equipment, which soon would have had to be demilitarized at great cost. The replacement equipment is made in the US, so the money stays in the US.
Meanwhile, the EU and European countries have spent a combined $271B, more than twice as much as the US.
