Jeremy Clarkson wasn’t happy seeing all the attention Kim Kardashian gets at F1 and let his feelings known live on Sky Sports 😡
Clarkson was asked about Martin Brundle finally interviewing Kim Kardashian in Singapore (after she had previously snubbed him in Monaco). He replied:
“I wasn’t watching that. Because I’m sort of not interested in Kim Kardashian if I’m honest. I’m not interested. Why would I be interested in Kim Kardashian? I’m here to watch Formula 1, not Kim Kardashian. And all the cameras go, ‘Oh, Kim Kardashian’s here!’ Why do I care?”
He also remarked that there are “people here who don’t even know what a car is,” criticising the growing presence of celebrities in the paddock who he felt have little interest in the sport itself.
I think it’s safe to say Jeremy isn’t a fan of Kim, Lewis Hamilton might be having a word. 😂
"Bitter Sweet Symphony" earned almost $5 million in publishing, Billboard estimated, and Richard Ashcroft, who wrote it, got $1,000.
Asked in 1999 whether the deal was fair, Keith Richards said: "If the Verve can write a better song, they can keep the money." Once it sold, the band says, the demand became 100% or the record came out of the shops.
22 years later, sunglasses on, in front of the Ivor Novello Awards press wall, Ashcroft says Mick and Keith have given him the royalties back.
In June 1997 Ashcroft was 25. The Verve had looped 4 bars of an old orchestral cover of the Stones' "The Last Time" and built a new song on top, with 24 string players and his words. Virgin had cleared the recording with Decca, but the composition belonged to ABKCO, the company of former Stones manager Allen Klein.
Klein refused clearance, saying the band had used more than agreed. The settlement gave ABKCO 100% of the publishing and put Jagger and Richards on the writing credit. In 1998 Nike ran the song in a TV ad, which the band's management said it would never have agreed to.
In 2018 Ashcroft said someone stole "God-knows-how-many million dollars" off him in 1997.
The 1998 Songwriter of the Year statuette is solid bronze. The publishing on his biggest song sat in New York for 22 years.
In April 2019, after his managers asked, Jagger and Richards signed over their future songwriter royalties. The 22 years before stayed where they were.
If your song had paid someone else for 22 years, would you thank them on stage when they stopped?

The video splices two separate sections from Obama's March 2014 Brussels speech, misrepresenting his description of an opposed "alternative vision" of authoritarian power as his own view. The full unedited speech remains available.

The Bay City Rollers sold 120 million records. Their singer got less than £30,000. Decades later, he asked their manager where the money went. The manager asked him the same thing.
In the video below, Les McKeown says it to Tam Paton's face: "You were our manager. Where is our money?"
In the 1970s the Rollers were five Scottish lads in tartan and one of the biggest bands in the world.
Les says Paton had him sign his first contract at 18, in the back of his car. On camera, Paton agrees it gave him power of attorney. "I never ever used your power of attorney," he says.
The band sued their accountants. They ran out of money to pay their own lawyers and settled. Less than £30,000 each, the documentary said.
Les brings a US tax return with royalty figures. Paton says he had nothing to do with it. "There's not any evidence to this," he tells Les. "You talked about something nearly 20, 30 years ago."
Then the question comes back across the table: "So where is that money then?"
"Sorry," Les says. "I came here to ask you where the money was."
By the time of the film, Les lived in a small flat in East London. Paton had made his fortune in property and lived behind spiked gates outside Edinburgh.
Did Paton lose the Rollers' money, or was he the reason it was gone?
Every day here: a famous fortune, and the people closest to the star who took it.

Why does @GBNEWS keep platforming these vile, nasty lefty loons?
Even if you want “balance,” there’s a difference between disagreement and outright disrespect.
Andy Twelves was a complete buffoon on air rude, aggressive, and totally disrespectful to @Nanaakua1.

🔥 Watch Sadiq Khan get ROASTED at City Hall!
Emma Best absolutely laid into the mini Mayor and exposed the rank hypocrisy. While he pushes a “cooling hierarchy” that deliberately makes air conditioning harder to install in new homes and buildings, he sits there in an air-conditioned City Hall enjoying the exact comfort he’s denying everyone else.
She went straight for the jugular:
“You’re no stranger to the charge of being a massive hypocrite, be it saying you want to abolish the Lords, now being a proud Lord; saying you want to urge people into the office, then downsizing City Hall and having a work from home policy; saying you want the poorest Londoners to give up driving and then clocking up enough air miles to fly to the moon and back yourself.”
“But I’m concerned that you could fall into your latest trap by being very restrictive in the new London Plan about air con, whilst you sit here in City Hall enjoying the benefits of air con. Will you make sure developers are heard and we don’t put in restrictions that make it difficult to build new constructions with air con?”
Khan started his usual smug waffle. Emma cut him dead: “You missed the point on hypocrisy. You don’t understand hypocrisy.”
This is who he is. Rules for thee, luxury for me. He makes ordinary Londoners’ lives harder, hotter, and more expensive while living completely untouched by his own policies. Utterly condescending and completely insulated.
Emma called it perfectly. Well done 👏
