Due to Blackpool Tower being the only tall structure in the town, it does look rather epic when it sticks up out of low lying fog.

Wow! This is how the moon looked as it set beyond the South Pier on Sunday night. I also caught it dropping behind an oil rig before it disappeared below the horizon.

I think, as a photographer, I’m a pretty good all rounder. My special interest is mainly astronomy & landscape, but I can turn my hand to pretty much any subject.

The skies are really busy over Blackpool. Here is an Etihad Airlines Boeing 777 flying directly over me at 33,000ft. The 2nd pic is a Delta Airlines Airbus A350 flying the other way at 35,000ft.

Well, I came out hoping that the gloom may lift at the brink of sunset, and it did!
