Today marks the 9th anniversary of Justice Antonin Scalia’s passing. With his indefatigable commitment to constitutional originalism and textualism, Justice Scalia helped build what is the modern conservative legal movement. Thanks to him, we think about the law and the role of courts much differently than we did a generation ago.

The Pro-Life movement sold its soul for the Supreme Court when it got in bed so hardcore with Trump.
Trump is embracing abortion on demand and testing his base. He just came out for universal IVF and for Amendment 4 in Florida, which supports abortion until birth.

Remember when we fought against the government forcing the Little Sisters of the Poor to pay for contraception? I’m sure we’ll be hearing any day now from the chorus of conservative Catholics how the Trump administration is evil. Because we’re consistent, not partisan.
It’s super easy for people to accuse Francis of error with respect to migrants, but I would like them to make the positive case. Give me the theological foundation that defends rejecting migrants as a good. Show me how that’s virtuous.
