Both Bishop Rod and Bishop James will bring many gifts to these new roles, in preaching, evangelism and building bridges for the common good. Today was an exciting day as Hugh Nelson was officially confirmed as our next Bishop of Worcester by the Bishop of London at a special ceremony at St Mary-le-Bow Church in London. He'll begin his ministry following his service of welcome on Sat 17 Jan, 2pm in the Cathedral.

Prayers for The Rt Revd Dr Joanne Grenfell as she is today confirmed as the Bishop of St Edmundsbury and Ipswich. Joanne has faithfully served parishes in London as the Bishop of Stepney since July 2019, and she has been a highly valued colleague to all clergy in the diocese. I know that she will minister to communities in Suffolk with grace, wisdom and dedication. @dioceseoflondon @CofEsuffolk
